Medicinal use of cannabis could help battle Crohn's Disease, a new study shows. The study was conducted by Tel Aviv University and the Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba.
According to the Israeli scientists who compiled the study, patients who have smoked the drug noted a significant relief in their symptoms. Some of them said the disease went into remission.
The study was conducted on 21 patients who suffered from the chronic condition, which involves intestinal inflammation. An estimated 0.3 percent of the general population suffer from Crohn's disease.
