Amos Regev has been a journalist for some 25 years. In the early 1980s, he served as a desk editor for Yedioth Ahronoth, and later as the newspaper's London correspondent. In the early 1990s, Regev headed the news editorial staff at Maariv, and then worked as deputy editor of the paper. Regev worked at Israel’s Channel 10 television news for two years, and among other duties was editor of the station's "Hazira" current affairs program, hosted by Dan Margalit. In 2006, he was appointed editor in chief of the “Israeli” newspaper. Starting in 2007, Regev was among the founders of Israel Hayom and has served as its editor in chief since its first day of publication. He holds a bachelor's degree in history and political science, and a master's degree in military history.
