A senior editor for the last 21 years, Baruch Ron began his career in journalism in the IDF's Bamachane magazine. On completing his army service, he edited news for Yedioth Ahronoth. He later served four years as head of the news desk at Haaretz, and three years as desk chief and supplements editor for Yedioth Ahronoth. He was then appointed coordinator of reporters for Israel’s Channel 10 News. Ron is a member of Israel Hayom's founding team. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Tel Aviv University.
