Boaz Bismuth worked as a writer and editor at Maariv from 1983 to 1989, and was Yedioth Ahronoth's Paris correspondent from 1990 to 2004. From 2004 to 2008, Bismuth served as Israel's ambassador to Mauritania. Upon his return to Israel, Bismuth joined Israel Hayom, where he is a columnist and chief desk editor for international news. He is also a regular contributor to radio and television programs, and a senior fellow at the BarIlanCenter for International Communications. Bismuth has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Bar-IlanUniversity and a master's degree in African studies and international relations, development and cooperation, with an emphasis on the Ivory Coast, from the Sorbonne in Paris. He is married and is the father of two.
