Israel Hayom Editor-in-Chief Boaz Bismuth on Sunday received a special award from the Israel Public Relations Association honoring his media achievements.
Bismuth was honored at the association's Roaring Lion award ceremony for his media achievements in 2017, his prediction of the outcome of the 2016 U.S. presidential election, and the exclusive interviews with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump that ran in Israel Hayom.
"For decades, the Israeli public had no single media body whose views deviated from the political line dictated by the mainstream," Bismuth said at the ceremony.
"The conservative right-wing majority had no home in the media world, nor did it have a central arena in which it could express and debate the issues on the [public] agenda. Israel Hayom sought to correct this distortion."
Professor Yehiel Limor and Dr. Baruch Leshem were also awarded special citations for their contributions to the field of public relations in Israel.
