The Israel Police apprehended late Monday afternoon a suspect in an attempted stabbing attack at Herod's Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem. No one was injured.

The suspect fled the scene of the attempted attack and led police and Border Police on a chase through the alleyways of the Old City.
Additional forces were scrambled to the scene of the would-be stabbing and cordoned the area off. Security has been bolstered at and around Herod's Gate.
