A border policewoman sustained minor injuries in an attempted car-ramming attack at a checkpoint in the Abu Dis neighborhood, outside Jerusalem on Tuesday afternoon, the Border Police reported.
The Palestinian man who reportedly aimed his vehicle at a group of Border Police was shot and killed.

The wounded policewoman was evacuated to Hadassah Medical Center on Mount Scopus.
Relatives of the Palestinian man, identified as Ahmed Erekat, 27, expressed doubt that he would have perpetrated such an attack, as he was planning to get married next week.
"There is no way on earth he would attempt to carry out an attack," his cousin, Hiba Erekat, said.
