The Jerusalem District Court on Tuesday granted a motion by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's attorneys to delay the evidence phase in his trial, setting the next hearing for February. A similar request was filed by Shaul and Iris Elovitch, who were implicated in Case 4,000.

The defense teams for both Netanyahu and the Elovitch couple cited the need to "amend essential flaws" in the wording of the indictments as the basis for their motions.
Netanyahu's attorneys further seek to strike from the indictment the persecution's attempt to regard the prime minister and his family as one legal entity.
