As the second Purim holiday of the COVID pandemic approaches, senior rabbis from the Bnei Brak Rabbinical Court were slated to publish a ruling saying that despite the religious commandment to hear the Megillah and the Zekhor Torah portion, confirmed COVID carrier are absolutely banned from breaking quarantine. The ruling aims to prevent the spread of the virus.

The ruling was made by Rabbi Yehuda Silman and Rabbi Yisrael Rozenberg, who were expected to issue a letter detailing their decision on Thursday.
