Contacted by French broadcaster BFMTV, Elysee Palace said it has not yet been contacted by the Netanyahu on the matter. The prime minister first suggested the idea on Tuesday.
"The statement by Benjamin Netanyahu are only his own," a Paris official said. "France does not intend, to date, to settle the issue bilaterally."
If a so-called "vaccination passport" is to be put in place, it will be decided "at the European level, via the mandate given to the European Commission," the Elysee told BFMTV.
