Hiking blogger Daniel Yatsenko recently discovered an old wallet in the Judean Desert that turns out had been lost 34 years earlier by an Israeli hiker.

"My friends and I were on our way back from [hiking] the cliffs, and right underneath my feet, I noticed a closed, old-fashioned leather wallet," Yatsenko said. "Of course, I was intrigued and picked it up."
From there began Yatsenko's journey of finding the owner of the wallet. Luckily, although scathed by time, it included an ID and a driver's license that Yatsenko used to track down the owner on Facebook.
It turned out to be Motti Ben-Or, who was overjoyed to hear of the find.
"I lost it [the wallet] on a jeep trip in 1987. We were traveling, and I did not know where exactly the wallet fell out, so didn't know where to look for it. What a special closure to this story."
