Avigal Soreq, CEO of Israeli flag carrier El Al, announced his resignation on Monday, barely a year after taking office. Soreq is slated to become head of Delek US Holdings.

Soreq informed El Al Chairman Amikam Ben Zvi of his decision, saying he will assist in a smooth handover of powers to his yet-to-be-named successor.
Soreq, who was named El Al's chief in 2021 worked at Delek Holdings for over a decade, serving in various key roles.
