Israeli Air Force fighter jets launched a comprehensive assault on Iran's military infrastructure overnight Thursday, with forty aircraft targeting dozens of strategic installations across the country, including locations in Tehran and surrounding regions. Intelligence Directorate guidance enabled the deployment of more than 100 precision munitions during the extensive operation.
⭕️The IDF struck key sites tied to Iran's nuclear weapons and missile programs, including:
– Inactive nuclear reactor in Arak—a key component in plutonium production
– A nuclear weapons development site near Natanz
– Ballistic missile & air defense production facilities

The primary target included the nuclear reactor complex at Arak, specifically the moderator building – a crucial element required for military-grade plutonium production. The reactor project, initiated in 1997, remained incomplete due to sustained international diplomatic pressure. Despite repeated Iranian commitments to modify the facility for civilian low-enrichment plutonium production incompatible with weapons development, Tehran's political leadership deliberately avoided completing the conversion process, maintaining the infrastructure as leverage against Western powers.

Thursday's operation focused on eliminating the facility's military-designated components – those specifically engineered for weapons-grade plutonium production – effectively preventing future reactor activation for nuclear weapons development.

Strike teams also targeted nuclear weapons development installations near Natanz, housing specialized equipment and components integral to Iran's atomic weapons program. These facilities advance projects designed to accelerate the regime's nuclear armaments production timeline.

Concurrent operations destroyed manufacturing sites for ballistic missile components and raw materials, air defense missile production complexes, munitions storage facilities, defensive battery installations, radar networks, and sophisticated surveillance equipment throughout the Iranian military apparatus.
Iran's Atomic Energy Organization acknowledged the morning attack on the Arak research reactor and heavy water production complex, attributing the operation to Israeli forces. According to Iranian Atomic Energy Organization representatives, no fatalities occurred during the Arak facility attack. Officials claimed that "preventive measures ensured no hazardous conditions or damage threatening local populations around the installation. We have repeatedly informed the International Atomic Energy Agency regarding Israeli strikes and threats, yet regrettably, the IAEA has taken no responsive action."
