The nomination letter, dated July 1, 2025, and addressed to the Norwegian Nobel Committee in Oslo, specifically highlights Trump's role in facilitating the Abraham Accords as the primary justification for the peace prize nomination. Netanyahu personally handed the document to the US president during their bilateral discussions.

"President Trump has demonstrated steadfast and exceptional dedication to promoting peace, security and stability around the world," Netanyahu wrote in the formal nomination letter to the members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee. "In the Middle East, his efforts have brought about dramatic change and created new opportunities to expand the circle of peace between Israel and our neighbors in the region."
Netanyahu emphasized Trump's "pivotal role in facilitating the Abraham Accords" as the cornerstone achievement warranting Nobel recognition. The Israeli leader described these diplomatic breakthroughs as "groundbreaking agreements" that "established formal diplomatic relations between Israel and several Arab nations – including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Morocco."

"These breakthroughs reshaped the Middle East and marked a historic advance toward peace, security and regional stability," the prime minister stated in his letter adding that "President Trump's vision and bold promoted innovative diplomacy defined not by conflict and extremism but by cooperation, dialogue, and shared prosperity."

The nomination letter concludes with Netanyahu's assessment that "few leaders have achieved such tangible breakthroughs to peace in such a short time." The Israeli premier declared that "in these times of great historic change, I can think of no one more deserving than President Trump of the Nobel Peace Prize."
The formal nomination was submitted to the Norwegian Nobel Committee at Henrik Ibsens gate 51 in Oslo, Norway, with Netanyahu's signature appearing on official Prime Minister's Office letterhead.
The Abraham Accords, brokered during Trump's first presidency, resulted in the normalization of diplomatic relations between Israel and multiple Arab nations, fundamentally altering Middle Eastern diplomatic relationships that had remained frozen for decades.
