This week, for the whole world to see. On Tuesday, the first Israel Hayom summit in the US opens in Manhattan, focusing on all the major issues of recent weeks, including and excusive behind-the-scenes look at President Donald Trump's Gaza plan.
The summit will open with an on-stage interview with US Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz, considered one of President Trump's closest confidants and one of the most influential figures in the diplomatic process surrounding the future of the Gaza Strip.
Waltz, who has been at the center of the moves inside the UN, including the passage of the resolution paving the way toward a Palestinian state, is arriving in New York straight from the rooms where sensitive discussions are taking place over security arrangements, reconstruction and the political landscape for the day after in Gaza and Israel.

Administration representatives
Joining Waltz in New York are senior American and Israeli officials, past and present: ministers, diplomats, leaders of Jewish organizations, major business figures and security professionals. Among the prominent speakers are ambassadors, US administration officials, senior members of the Jewish community and media opinion leaders.
Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, one of the most consistent voices supporting Israel for years, will also take part in a special interview at the summit. She will be joined by Senator John Fetterman, one of the most outspoken critics within the Democratic Party regarding its treatment of Israel.

Discussions and panels
One of the most emotional sessions will address the human cost of the war. The program begins with a particularly moving panel that brings together the families of two lone soldiers from the US who were kidnapped to Gaza on October 7.
The family of Edan Alexander, who was released from captivity and has since rejoined the IDF, and the family of Omer Neutra, whose body was returned to Israel in the final deal before the end of the war, will share the stage. Later at the summit, two survivors of Hamas captivity, Guy Gilboa-Dalal and Evyatar David, will take part in a special conversation about more than two difficult years in captivity under the terrorist organization.

Beyond diplomatic discussions, the summit will examine the surge in antisemitism across the US, especially in New York, the city's turbulent election season, the future of bilateral relations, and the need to strengthen the bridge between Jewish communities in Israel and the Diaspora. Economic panels, conversations with innovation leaders and sessions on Israel's global standing will also take place.
The summit, hosted by Dr. Miriam Adelson, will feature, among others, former ambassador and minister Gilad Erdan, Minister Amichai Chikli, Ronald Lauder, Malcolm Hoenlein, Rabbi Ari Berman, Sylvan Adams, Sar-Shalom Gerbi, KKL-JNF education and community division head, business leader Ofra Strauss, Yoel Zilberman, CEO and founder of HaShomer HaChadash, Shazar Center chairman Avigdor Kahalani, Rashi Foundation CEO Michal Cohen, Reichman University founding president and board chairman Professor Uriel Reichman, Heritage Ministry Director-General Itai Granek, and El Al's head of communications and government relations, Michal Gerstler, among many others.
