A turbulent overnight cabinet session debated the multinational force framework and a roadmap that ministers say threatens Israel's security.

Reports that a US attack on Iran may be drawing closer have prompted the Israel Defense Forces to raise its alert level to the highest possible level. Israeli officials fear Iran could activate Hezbollah while simultaneously launching missiles directly at Israel. 

Soldiers and commanders from Givati Brigade’s Tsavar Battalion left the base without authorization following a confrontation with the battalion commander, who broke companies heritage boards. “Being absent without leave, going to prison, none of that matters,” one soldier said.
