The expletive-laden audio recording was released on Sunday by former Breitbart writer and editor, Milo Yiannopoulos on YouTube.

The leaked audio, supposedly recorded in the immediate aftermath of the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville in 2017 and the death of anti-Nazi protester Heather Heyer, allegedly features an irate Spencer ranting against Charlottesville citizens and vowing to continue protesting in the city.

On the recording, the voice continues: "Little fucking kikes. They get ruled by people like me. Little f**king octaroons. My ancestors fucking enslaved those little pieces of f**king s**t.

Later, he allegedly continued, "Those pieces of s**t get ruled by people like me. They look up and see a face like mine looking down at them."

According to the Guardian, Spencer claimed not to recall making the remarks, saying he would issue a statement and "get to the bottom of this" on Monday.

"I've listened to it. I'll be responding today in video form this afternoon. I'm responding on my own. Not through the press," Spencer told the Guardian. He declined to deny that the voice in the video was his, the report said.

Yiannopoulos, for his part, told the Guardian that the audio was "recorded by someone whose identity I have verified, and who I have placed where/when they said they recorded it. A second witness remembers the rant and remembers that person being present, and three others who have known Spencer for years confirm the voice is unmistakably his."

The Forward and Jewish Insider first reported the news of Omar's interest in the Congressional Black-Jewish Caucus.

"Last month, [Rep. Jan Schakowsky] and I joined together to talk about the common threat of white nationalism faced by Muslim, black and Jewish Americans. Glad to see colleagues follow through in working on the things that unite us and not divide us," tweeted Omar on Wednesday.

Omar said on Thursday that joining the Black-Jewish Caucus doesn't mean "an endorsement" of Zeldin's views and that she hopes "Zeldin can learn and grow."

"Just to be clear, my endorsement of the caucus and willingness to unite our communities against the threats of White supremacy isn't an endorsement of Zeldin's bigotry!" she tweeted.

Zeldin responded on Twitter: "This new Caucus is a positive, bipartisan push to build bridges between 2 groups. Be helpful, accurate & better. Unite; don't divide or try to poison like this latest personal attack. This is bigger than us & we have to be better than this."

The caucus launch was announced on Monday at the American Jewish Committee's annual Global Forum in Washington, D.C.

In addition to Zeldin, its founders are Reps. Brenda Lawrence (D-Mich.), Will Hurd (R-Texas), John Lewis (D-Ga.) and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.).

The caucus will assemble politicians from both communities and both sides of the aisle to learn from each other and advocate for joint concerns
