Right-wing groups harshly criticized Joint Arab List MK Ahmad Tibi on Wednesday after he condemned the killing of three Palestinian terrorists near Nablus, lauding them as 'martyrs.'

On Tuesday, the Israel Defense Forces killed three Palestinian terrorists that had carried out shooting attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians in the area over the past few weeks.

In a Knesset address later in the day, Tibi accused Israel of executing the "martyrs," occupying Palestinian land, and violating international law.

"The government and the coalition, all its members, are responsible for this deterioration," he said, concluding his address with the words, "May God have mercy on the martyrs."

A similar sentiment was expressed by fellow Joint Arab List MKs Ofer Cassif and Aida Toma Suleiman, as well as Balad lawmaker Sami Abu Shehadeh.

Right-wing group Im Tirtzu said in a statement, "Without any shame, the supporter of terrorism, Ahmad Tibi, eulogizes the three terrorists from the Knesset podium, calling the IDF's actions terrorism. Ahmad Tibi, you belong in the Gaza parliament, not in Israel!"

The group said it would demand Tibi's disqualification in the next government and called on all Knesset members to take action against the Arab lawmaker.

The situation in Judea and Samaria may escalate out of control amid a spike in violence there, Arab Israeli parliamentarian Ahmad Tibi warned over the weekend.

According to IDF data, Palestinian shooting and stabbing attacks against Israeli civilians and security forces doubled over the past last year.

There was also a 40% increase in physical attacks on Palestinians either by Israeli security forces or by settlers and Jewish extremists, the United Nations said.

"The continuation of this violence by both the settlers and the [Israeli] army could mean that next year will be one of confrontation and possibly an intifada," Tibi said.

Jerusalem has also witnessed an increase in violence with a number of attacks by Palestinian terrorists against security forces and civilians there in recent weeks.

A member of the new center-left government informed Ahmad Tibi the coalition would need his party's help, the Ta'al party chairman said Monday.

In an interview with Arabic-language Nas Radio, Tibi noted that "the result at the swearing-in was 59 to 60." He said.

"Yesterday, a senior member of the new coalition told me such a situation is hell and that they need us," he said, noting: "We made it clear any vote by our party would have a political and parliamentarian price."

Despite reports in recent weeks Ta'al lawmakers Tibi and Osama Saadi were contemplated voting in favor of the so-called "pro-change" coalition, both Ta'al members, along with the entire Joint Arab List faction of which Ta'al is a member, voted against the center-left government of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Prime Minister-designate and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid.

According to the Joint Arab List official, it would have been "totally realistic" for those Ta'al members to vote in favor of the coalition because he said Tibi and Saadi are both pragmatists who have already spoken of the need for the Joint Arab List "to take an active and central part in the political field."

According to the report, several dozen right-wing activists were protesting outside an auditorium in the central Israeli city of Ramat Hasharon over Tibi's participation in the panel.

Protesters carried signs accusing Tibi of being a "terrorist" and "murderer," and one sign read,  "You're not wanted here!"

Footage of the scene showed that when Tibi arrived at the auditorium, several police officers had to stand between him and the protesters, who shouted derogatory remarks at him.

The police detained two protesters for questioning for allegedly trying to attack Tibi as he entered the premises.

Later at the speaking event, Tibi said that "if they [Blue and White] had formed a government supported by the Joint Arab List, an Arab MK would have already been murdered."

He further blamed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for inciting against Arab lawmakers.
