"To provide our customers with certainty about our winter flight schedule, we will no longer operate flights to Tel Aviv during the winter season, up to and including March 28, 2026. Customers are being informed of their options, which include receiving a refund or transferring to an alternative flight free of charge," the company said. "We regret any inconvenience that may be caused and remain committed to resuming our flights to Tel Aviv from the summer of 2026."

In a statement to Israel Hayom, the airline elaborated, "We have considered multiple factors, including how the current situation affects the reliability of flight schedules for our customers. We remain dedicated to resuming flights to Tel Aviv starting in summer 2026."

In recent days, other airlines have resumed flights to Israel, such as Aegean from Greece and Air Europa. United Airlines is set to return on July 21, Lufthansa on August 1, and Wizz Air, another low-cost carrier, on August 8.

Several airlines have extended cancellations to Israel: Delta Air Lines, ITA, and Air India until August 31; Transavia and Air Canada until September 7; Iberia Express until October 24; and KLM and Ryanair until October 2025.

 According to a report in the Daily Mail, the British travelers consumed alcohol, yelled continuously, banged on seats, and prevented flight attendants from performing their regular duties.

Erika Brachina, an Ibiza resident who captured the incident on video, described the experience as "a real hell" and revealed she suffered an anxiety attack during the flight. She expressed harsh criticism toward EasyJet for permitting passengers in such a condition to board the aircraft in the first place.

After landing, local police were summoned to the aircraft to address the situation with the disruptive individuals. The event sparked outraged responses from Ibiza locals, who voiced their growing frustration with the excessive tourism that continues to diminish their quality of life.

In response to the incident, EasyJet stated that they consider disruptive behavior on their flights extremely serious and maintain that passenger and crew safety remains their highest priority. The airline emphasized its zero-tolerance policy toward such conduct and ongoing efforts to prevent similar situations.

After suspending flights to Israel for several months, Irish budget airline Ryanair is resuming its operations in the country. The first Ryanair flight departed Sunday from Baden-Baden, Germany, and was scheduled to land at Ben Gurion Airport shortly after 11:00 a.m.

The Irish carrier plans to operate direct flights to and from Israel to various European destinations, including Berlin, Budapest, Bucharest, Baden-Baden, Athens, and additional locations.

Ryanair isn't the only budget airline now operating from Ben Gurion Airport. Wizz Air returned to Israel several months ago and is also running direct flights to multiple destinations, with plans to expand its operations in the current period.

EasyJet is expected to resume its Israel routes at the beginning of June, barring any changes. Once this occurs, all major budget airlines that operate flights to and from a relatively wide range of destinations in Israel will have returned to service.

The British airline easyJet has announced that it will not return to Israel until March 29, 2025. easyJet suspended its flights to Israel following the rocket and drone attack on April 14, and has not resumed flights since.

The airline was originally scheduled to return flights to Israel by the end of October 2024, yet the company intends to cancel all its winter flights.  After this reporter checked with company representatives, easyJet confirmed these details to Israel Hayom.

easyJet stated: "Customers who booked tickets between October 2024 and March 2025 will be offered options, including a full refund for the tickets they purchased."
