The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Israel and the humanitarian agency IsraAID marked their partnership's half-year anniversary through a site visit to Kibbutz Kfar Aza last week, showcasing sustained recovery programming for populations impacted by the October 7th assaults, IsraAID announced.

IsraAID activated domestic emergency operations immediately following the October 7 violence, the organization reported. The agency has sustained assistance delivery to at-risk Israeli populations for 26 months since, according to IsraAID. The Taipei office has joined international and charitable contributions to support multiple intervention streams: partnership with "255" establishing tailored support architectures for freed captives and family members; "Nitzanim Shel Ofir," a community-originated youth activation program at Kibbutz Kfar Aza; expressive arts therapy at Kibbutz Beeri, plus additional undertakings, the organization stated.

During her November 27 tour of Kibbutz Kfar Aza, the head of the Taipei office, Representative Abby Lee said the following, according to IsraAID:

"We are pleased to join the efforts of IsraAID in the reconnection, empowerment and rehabilitation projects in Kfar Aza, Beeri and with hostages and their extended families... I hope that the projects we are partnering on with IsraAID will help young leaders to reconnect to their communities and cultivate a sense of togetherness."

IsraAID Chief Executive Yotam Polizer expressed appreciation, saying it was "a powerful statement of solidarity."

IsraAID's intervention philosophy emphasizes extended presence in affected regions, working to amplify indigenous resilience mechanisms for sustainable futures, the organization stated. Alliances like the Taipei office collaboration enable persistent influence with crisis-impacted communities across national and international contexts, the announcement concluded.

The group proved that a new aid model, supported by the Trump administration, could prevent looting by Hamas unlike other UN agencies. This decision comes despite ongoing criticism from the United Nations and UNRWA, which the organization defied throughout its operation, according to Fox News Digital. The GHF will hand off its successful methods to the broader international community.

Following the successful delivery of more than 187 million complimentary meals to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which Hamas was prevented from stealing, the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) announced Monday it is moving its work to other humanitarian agencies, Fox News Digital disclosed.

The organization's operation began on May 26 to make certain meals reached the local population and to prevent Hamas terrorists from diverting goods. GHF also noted the distribution of "more than 1.1 million packs of ready-to-use supplementary food (RUSF) for malnourished children."

The GHF executive director, John Acree, confirmed in a statement to Fox News Digital that the foundation's original objective – to address an immediate necessity and establish a successful alternative to prior failed approaches before handing it over to the wider global community – has been met. He believes that goal is now achieved, with the establishment of the Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) and the renewed commitment of the international humanitarian sector. Acree further explained that international organizations and CMCC "will be adopting and expanding the model GHF piloted. As a result, we are winding down our operations as we have succeeded in our mission of showing there's a better way to deliver aid to Gazans."

Their mission, which was focused solely on feeding civilians, built a functioning new model that "worked, saved lives and restored dignity to civilians in Gaza," he said. Former US service members, humanitarians, local Gazan workers, and partners like Samaritan's Purse, were part of the dedicated team that "risked their lives to feed the people in Gaza amidst an active war conflict." Reports indicated that United Nations aid organizations, allegedly compromised by corruption and support for Hamas terrorism, resented the GHF's proven effectiveness.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has faced numerous criticisms since May concerning its operations, including claims of Gazans being injured and killed at distribution points; United Nations agencies and other nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) also accused the group of using aid as a weapon. For instance, the commissioner-general of UNRWA demanded in July that the GHF be shut down, asserting it "provides nothing but starvation and gunfire to the people of Gaza."

Fox News Digital received confirmation from a private source in August that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are "actively helping the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation get food into the hands of civilians while UN agencies, including WFP and OCHA, through their unwillingness to coordinate with the IDF, are inhibiting the distribution of such aid." This private source's "accusation is delusional," according to Stéphane Dujarric, the United Nations secretary general's spokesperson, as he told Fox News Digital at the time. The GHF responded to Fox News Digital that it "repeatedly offered to help UN agencies secure and distribute their aid to meet the need in Gaza while preventing looting and diversion. During its entire four-and-a-half months of operations, not a single GHF aid truck was looted."

Attributing its success to "the Trump administration's call for innovation and early confidence in our mission, recognizing that American leadership, clarity of purpose and accountability to results are still the international gold standard," the GHF believes "American-led solutions and compassion work." The group's leaders affirmed that it will not dissolve as a registered NGO and is prepared to restart its mission "if new humanitarian needs are identified." Acree concluded, "What our team will miss the most are the friendships and camaraderie developed with thousands of Gazans, especially the women and children we served. In early July, as the food security situation in Gaza improved, our operations stabilized, and we experienced a major shift in winning over the trust of aid seekers to the point where our aid sites became local hangout spots for women and children interacting with our team on a daily basis. We will miss them dearly."

Israeli officials are outraged after discovering that one of the bodies in the handover of deceased hostages overnight Tuesday was not an Israeli but a Palestinian resident of Gaza, forcing the government to weigh its response.

Four coffins were transferred to Israel on Tuesday night, including three deceased Israeli hostages – Tamir Nimrodi, Uriel Baruch, and Eitan Levi. The fourth one was supposed to be another Israeli hostage, but Hamas apparently used the body of a Palestinian resident of Gaza, although it is unclear if this was a mistake or deliberate.

The Prime Minister's Office released an official statement this morning, which read: "Following the completion of the identification procedure by the National Center of Forensic Medicine, in collaboration with the Israel Police and the Military Rabbinate, IDF representatives notified the families of the hostages Uriel Baruch, Staff Sergeant Tamir Nimrodi, and Eitan Levi that their loved ones had been repatriated to Israel and their identification was finalized. The Government of Israel shares in the deep sorrow of the Baruch, Nimrodi, and Levi families, as well as all families of the deceased hostages. The Government and the State of Israel's entire hostage and missing persons apparatus are determined, committed, and are operating relentlessly to return all of our fallen hostages for a respectful burial in their homeland. The Hamas terrorist organization is required to uphold its commitments to the mediators and return them as part of the agreement's implementation; we will not compromise on this and will spare no effort until we return all the deceased hostages, every last one. May their memories be blessed".

Aside from the statement, no operational decision has yet been made. The Rafah crossing was not scheduled to open this morning in any event, as the logistical deployment for its opening has not yet concluded. Furthermore, the political echelon has not yet issued a directive regarding the suspension or decrease of humanitarian aid.

A similar case happened when the body of Shiri Bibas was supposed to be handed over to Israel during the previous hostage deal. In the previous exchange on February 20 of this year, Hamas transferred a body to Israel, claiming it was that of Shiri Bibas, a resident of Nir Oz who was kidnapped and murdered in captivity with her two sons – Kfir Bibas and Ariel Bibas. After a protracted examination at the National Center of Forensic Medicine, the body was then discovered to belong to a Palestinian woman who lived in Gaza, and following fury and threats from Israel, Shiri Bibas's body was subsequently transferred and identified.

Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir, reacted in a post on the X network: "Enough of the disgrace. Right after the gates were opened for hundreds of trucks, Hamas very quickly reverted to its well-known tactics – to lie, deceive, and abuse families and bodies. The Nazi terror understands only force, and the sole path to resolving issues with it is to wipe it from the face of the earth."

"The Global Sumud Flotilla" activists said overnight Monday that one of their boats, bearing the flag of Portugal, was struck by a drone inside Tunisian territorial waters. Organizers stated that no one on board was injured. A spokesperson for the Tunisian authorities maintained that no drones were detected near the port and that this was probably an "internal explosion."

Footage circulating on social media appeared to show a suspicious object crashing into the boat, followed by shouts from the deck. According to the organization, damage was caused on the main deck and the storage area below it due to a fire.

Video: The incident on board the flotilla vessel / Social media

The "Sumud" flotilla, meaning resistance, is an international initiative created to transfer humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip using civilian vessels, supported by delegations from 44 countries, despite Israel saying it would gladly hand over supplies after properly vetting them if activists dock in Israeli ports. Israel has repeatedly blocked similar flotillas because such attempts are designed to serve as propaganda supporting Hamas, and also because it wants to ensure there are no arms on board.

Environmental activist Greta Thunberg, who is taking part in the flotilla and was previously deported from Israel for joining another one, wrote that "I am currently in a Tunisian port, after our boat carrying humanitarian aid was bombed. We were not on board the boat when it was bombed. It was bombed in Tunisian territory."

Francesca Albanese, a UN envoy, told Al-Arabiya that "The strike against the Gaza flotilla ship is grave and we are awaiting an investigation."

The boats carrying former Barcelona Mayor Ada Colau and activist Greta Thunberg were among those forced to turn back. Organizers are expected to decide in the coming hours whether to resume the journey to Gaza today or wait for better weather conditions.

Comprising about 20 boats with humanitarian aid, the flotilla that set out from Barcelona is described by its organizers as the largest civilian flotilla ever aiming to provide aid to Gazans and challenge Israel's international legitimacy, despite Israel already delivering humanitarian relief and willing to help bring any cargo through the normal procedures and through Israeli ports.

Hundreds of individuals from dozens of countries are participating in the flotilla, distributed across the boats. Additional boats are expected to depart from other European ports in the coming days, with the goal of arriving together in large numbers to complicate Israel's efforts to intercept them.

Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories Major General Ghassan Alian published a message on Thursday on the Arabic-language unit's Facebook page, "Al-Monasiq," addressing Gaza Strip residents and claiming that "the IDF operates to weaken Hamas, prepares to ensure safe passage of residents to southern Gaza for their protection."

"In recent weeks, the Hamas terror organization has been leading a false starvation campaign," Alian noted in the video. "Contrary to Hamas' claims, the State of Israel doesn't lead a starvation policy, but rather a policy of preventing starvation. Every day, more than 300 humanitarian aid trucks enter, the absolute majority with food."

According to him, "We opened four crossings and eased the collection process, which led to a sharp drop in food prices in markets and a significant improvement in food accessibility. Hamas is the one responsible for the humanitarian crisis. It operates deliberately to worsen the situation while trying to take over the aid and exploit civilians as human shields."

"Safe passage for residents"

Alian announced that "the IDF prepares to expand activity against Hamas in Gaza City, aiming to weaken it, and simultaneously prepares to ensure safe passage of residents to southern Gaza for their protection. For this purpose, we began proactive operations to improve the humanitarian response in the southern Gaza Strip."

Within the framework of preparations for moving the population southward, Israel allows "bringing tents for shelters, working to establish additional field hospitals, and allowing additional medical equipment to strengthen the health system in the southern Gaza Strip."

"We'll allow food entry"

"Hamas will continue spreading lies," Alian said. "We'll continue operating in cooperation with the UN and international organizations to allow extensive food entry and ensure the aid reaches directly to you, Gaza residents, and not to Hamas."

The New York Times published a clarification on Tuesday regarding an article that ran last Thursday under the headline "Young, old and sick starving to death" about the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, which featured an image of a thin 18-month-old child in his mother's arms. The clarification stated that after publication, the newspaper learned from the child's doctor that he suffers from underlying medical conditions.

The photograph in question gained widespread distribution in newspapers around the world and became a symbol of the humanitarian situation in Gaza. The child's image appeared on CNN, The Guardian, BBC, and even in the typically pro-Israel British tabloid, Daily Express.

Last week, independent journalist David Collier published evidence that al-Mutawak suffered from birth defects that may be related to his condition.

The appended Editors' Note read, "Children in Gaza are malnourished and starving, as New York Times reporters and others have documented. We recently ran a story about Gaza's most vulnerable civilians, including Mohammed Zakaria al-Mutawaq, who is about 18 months old and suffers from severe malnutrition. We have since learned new information, including from the hospital that treated him and his medical records, and have updated our story to add context about his pre-existing health problems. This additional detail gives readers a greater understanding of his situation. Our reporters and photographers continue to report from Gaza, bravely, sensitively, and at personal risk, so that readers can see firsthand the consequences of the war."

Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett responded to the clarification, stating, "This is simply unbelievable. After generating a tsunami of hate towards Israel with that terrifying picture, the NYT now quietly admits that the boy has preexisting conditions. NYT, you knew that Hamas uses babies with preexisting illnesses. We've been saying this for months now. You knew exactly what this picture would cause. This is a blood libel in 2025. Have you no shame?"

Officials from the Israeli Consulate in New York claimed the clarification was published following their intervention. Ambassador Gilad Erdan added, "It is unfortunate that the international media falls time and again for the abhorrent lies and propaganda of Hamas."

Armed Hamas terrorists conducted a brazen theft of humanitarian aid trucks on Tuesday in Deir al-Balah, Gaza Strip, in a dramatic incident captured on video that shows the systematic seizure of supplies meant for civilian populations. The footage reveals gunmen riding on truck rooftops and sides while brandishing weapons and speeding along stone-covered roads.

Gaza residents attempted to stop the convoy by throwing stones, but the armed terrorists continued their high-speed escape without stopping. The video provides stark evidence of how Hamas intercepts international aid intended for the territory's civilian population. This incident adds to mounting documentation from recent weeks showing Hamas' forcible seizure of humanitarian supplies, taking aid from residents to benefit the organization's members instead of the intended recipients.

The Prime Minister's Office announced Monday that Israel continues coordinating with international agencies, the United States, and European nations to maintain humanitarian aid flow to Gaza. The statement came as the reduced security cabinet convened Monday evening amid reports that decisions regarding Gaza operations are imminent.

Israel has implemented daily operational pauses from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in central populated Gaza areas and established secure routes operating from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. to facilitate safe convoy passage. The announcement confirmed that Israel already permits substantial daily humanitarian aid quantities to Gaza, including food, water, and medical supplies.

Israel simultaneously leveled accusations against Hamas for stealing aid from Gaza's population while attacking Palestinians who resist. The official statement declared, "Hamas, which openly uses civilians as human shields, operates from hospitals and uses schools and kindergartens to store weapons, has stolen aid from Gaza's population many times by shooting Palestinians."

The IDF announced Sunday the start of a daily, localized tactical pause in fighting in the Gaza Strip, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time, until further notice.

The pause is intended to allow for humanitarian activity and will take place in areas where the IDF is not currently operating, including Al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah, and Gaza City.

The move, approved by the political echelon, is part of a joint effort by the IDF and the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) to expand humanitarian aid to Gaza. The decision was coordinated with the United Nations and international aid organizations during discussions held on the matter.

In parallel, designated secure routes were defined for UN and international aid convoys to operate daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. These routes are intended for the delivery and distribution of food and medicine across the Strip.

Despite the pause, the IDF emphasized that it would continue to maneuver and act against terrorist organizations in Gaza "to protect the citizens of Israel" and that it is prepared to expand military operations as necessary.

On Saturday, a high-level IDF assessment led to a significant change in the humanitarian aid mechanism, which took effect Sunday. The changes include the resumption of airdrop missions along the aerial corridor, the establishment of new humanitarian corridors, and the reconnection of the southern desalination plant to the electricity grid.

At the center of the new approach is the renewed airdrop operation in cooperation with international organizations. The drop will include seven pallets of aid containing flour, sugar, and canned food, to be provided by humanitarian agencies, with implementation by the Israeli Air Force and COGAT. In addition, new humanitarian corridors will allow safe passage for UN and aid organization convoys to bring food and medicine into the Strip.

President Herzog: 'Aid is a moral imperative'

Israeli President Isaac Herzog backed the move to expand humanitarian assistance, saying, "I support the series of humanitarian steps announced by the political leadership and the IDF, including the humanitarian pauses. This is a moral, operational, diplomatic, and strategic necessity. In recent days, I have received countless appeals from world leaders, friends of Israel, journalists, and Jewish leaders worldwide. The correct practical response is action."

"This is not a concession, it is an essential component of the war effort to secure the return of our kidnapped citizens and the restoration of security for the people of Israel. Let it be clear: responsibility for the situation of Gaza's residents lies with the Hamas terrorist organization, which initiated the brutal massacre and continues to reject ceasefire and hostage release proposals."

A source with direct involvement in the hostage negotiations confirmed Wednesday morning that the ceasefire plan mentioned by President Donald Trump on Tuesday night, which he claimed Israel agreed to as part of a 60-day pause in fighting, represents no fundamental departure from the agreement Israel accepted in recent weeks.

Israel Hayom provided comprehensive coverage of these developments in recent days. The critical modification in Israel's position centers on incorporating explicit American guarantees within the agreement's text – ensuring the ceasefire will facilitate negotiations toward the war's complete end.

An additional commitment involves expanding humanitarian assistance to Gaza Strip residents. Trump announced these developments through a late-night post on his "Truth" social media platform, confirming Israel's acceptance of terms enabling a two-month ceasefire agreement. He subsequently directed pressure toward Hamas, stating, "My Representatives had a long and productive meeting with the Israelis today on Gaza. Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize the 60 Day CEASEFIRE, during which time we will work with all parties to end the War. The Qataris and Egyptians, who have worked very hard to help bring Peace, will deliver this final proposal. I hope, for the good of the Middle East, that Hamas takes this Deal, because it will not get better — IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE."

These statements followed Trump's meeting with Minister Ron Dermer, who leads Israel's negotiating team for hostage deal discussions.

Egyptian media reported Tuesday that Israeli and Hamas delegations plan to arrive in the capital soon to advance technical negotiations, occurring just days before Netanyahu's scheduled Washington meeting with Trump.
