Former President Donald Trump staged a theatrical campaign appearance in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, wearing a safety vest and operating a garbage truck to capitalize on President Joe Biden's verbal misstep about Trump supporters from the previous evening.

The dramatic display came after Biden made what his team later described as a verbal gaffe during a Tuesday evening Zoom call with a Latino voters organization. "The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it's un-American," Biden said in the call.

Biden's comment stems from comedian Tony Hinchcliffe's remarks at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally last weekend, where he referred to Puerto Rico as "a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean." The comment has already cost Trump the endorsement of reggaeton singer Nicky Jam, while drawing support for Vice President Kamala Harris from Puerto Rican stars Bad Bunny and Ricky Martin.

"I have to begin by saying 250 million Americans are not garbage," Trump declared at the start of his 90-minute speech. The former president arrived at the arena wearing an orange reflective vest, having earlier posed in the cab of a garbage truck emblazoned with "Trump" in blue lettering.

At the Green Bay rally, Trump supporters seized Biden's comment. Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre drew enthusiastic applause when he addressed the crowd: "I can assure you, we're not garbage. How dare you say that. Looking out, I see police officers, teachers, nurses, grandparents, students. I see everyday Americans that make this country great."

Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson connected Biden's remarks to previous Democratic campaign controversies, saying: "He called you garbage, but, let's face it, that's not the first time the Democratic leaders have told half of Americans what they thought about them." Johnson likened it to Hillary Clinton's 2016 "basket of deplorables" comment about Trump supporters.

Harris moved quickly to distance herself from Biden's remarks, telling reporters Wednesday: "I strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they voted for." The vice president has recently focused on outreach to moderate Republicans and independents in her campaign efforts.

When questioned about Hinchcliffe's Puerto Rico comments while sitting in the truck's cab, Trump maintained his distance from the controversy, repeating that he didn't know the comedian or how he was booked for Madison Square Garden. "I don't know anything about the comedian. I don't know who he is. I've never seen him," Trump said. "He's a comedian, what can I tell you? I know nothing about him. I don't know why he's there."

Former President Donald Trump made an ambitious pledge to win New York state while headlining a packed Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday, drawing 20,000 supporters for a marathon five-hour event that featured controversial moments and surprise appearances, according to the Daily Mail.

The rally, held just nine days before the 2024 election, marked Trump's return to his home city and included an unexpected campaign appearance by former First Lady Melania Trump, who introduced her husband as "the next commander-in-chief."

"We want to win our country, but we also want to win New York and make it safe and strong and beautiful and affordable and vibrant again," Trump told the energetic crowd. "When I left, New York was the place you wanted to be, and now people just don't speak well of it. But we're going to bring it back. And we're going to bring it back strong."

The 78-year-old former president was joined by a lineup of high-profile supporters, including Elon Musk, Dr. Phil, Tucker Carlson, and UFC figures Dana White and Hulk Hogan. However, the event was not without controversy.

Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe sparked backlash by calling Puerto Rico a "floating pile of garbage," which drew condemnation from several Latino celebrities. A Trump campaign spokesperson later distanced the campaign from the comments, stating: "This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign."

Trump's childhood friend David Rem delivered a fiery speech while waving a crucifix, making inflammatory comments about Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her "the devil" and "the antichrist." Businessman Grant Cardone said Harris "and her pimp handlers will destroy our country."

Republican leaders expressed optimism about Trump's chances in New York despite the state having voted Democratic in every presidential election since 1988. GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik claimed Trump had "been talking about for years" about holding a rally at Madison Square Garden. The former president's son, Donald Trump Jr., declared to the crowd: "The king of New York is back to reclaim the city that he built."

Radio persona Sid Rosenberg said, "I just got back from Israel about two weeks ago. They love Trump in Israel. Just you know, they love him." He added, "I get back and they go, 'Sid, you want to speak at this MSG thing?' I go, 'Sure – out of character for me to speak at a Nazi rally. I was just in Israel.' But I took the gig." His reference to the rally being Nazi comes in response to Democrats accusing Trump of being similar to the Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.

A gunman opened fire at a rally for former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, injuring the ex-president before being fatally shot by law enforcement, according to footage obtained by TMZ.

TMZ reports that video footage shows the gunman, described as having longer brown hair and wearing a grey shirt and khaki pants, lying on his stomach on the rooftop and aiming through what appeared to be a scope or iron sights. Witnesses can be heard panicking as the first shots ring out.

Michael Difrischia, who captured the video, told TMZ that he and his wife Amber were watching the rally from outside the main grounds with 30 to 40 other people when Amber noticed the man climbing onto a nearby building. Difrischia said the gunman "shimmied up, then army crawled to his final position on the roof, all with a rifle in hand."

According to Difrischia, bystanders attempted to alert authorities about the gunman's presence, but he was still able to fire shots before being taken down by return fire. An eyewitness interviewed by the BBC corroborated Difrischia's account, stating that people had noticed the gunman and tried to raise the alarm, but "for some reason, he was able to get shots off on the ex-Prez before finally being taken out."

Meanwhile, an anonymous X user managed to deceive some of the world's largest media outlets by impersonating the assassin who shot at the former president. His account on X had previously been used for politically-oriented pranks. The account name translates to "foreskin," and the username roughly means "watching Jews," both indicators of antisemitic views.

The user posted a video claiming to be the assassin and expressing hatred for Trump and all Republicans. The user capitalized on his physical resemblance to images circulated online of the eliminated attacker. Several major news sites, including the New York Post, published the video and the man's image, whose real name is unknown.

Former President Donald Trump made an unscheduled campaign stop at Tony and Nick's Steaks in South Philadelphia on Saturday, prior to a rally at Temple University in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania. The visit, which came as a surprise to the restaurant's owner, left a lasting impression on both staff and patrons.

Trump left a $500 tip and wrote "no taxes on tips" on the receipt, aligning with his recent campaign stance to end taxation on tips for service industry workers. This gesture highlighted a key issue facing many small business owners and their employees across the country.

Nicky Lucidonio, owner of Tony and Nick's Steaks, expressed his excitement about the unexpected visit to Fox News Digital. "It was just unbelievable," Lucidonio said. "He was talking to people, you know, they're asking questions. He's answering them. He's signing hats. He signed and everything."

The visit was not pre-announced, with Lucidonio only aware of a large, mysterious order placed the day before by an unidentified woman for "some special people." The order comprised approximately 200 sandwiches.

The former president's stop at the cheesesteak shop brought attention to the challenges faced by small business owners, particularly regarding the taxation of tips. Lucidonio voiced his frustration with the current system, stating, "People put tips in our jar, you know, and then to tax those tips that these poor people live day-by-day is a joke. I mean, what else do you want to tax? It's crazy."

He further emphasized the impact on workers, noting, "People have to wonder. They're working in 100-degree weather in there." Lucidonio added, "The middle class is getting killed. We got to do something about it."

During his visit, Trump engaged with the crowd, even polling them on their preferences for a potential vice presidential candidate. When one bystander suggested J.D. Vance, Trump responded, "You like JD?"

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will lay out the choices for Nevada this November at an outdoor rally on Sunday in Las Vegas, and sweltering heat is forecast for the event.

The rally, held two days before Nevada's June 11 primary, is scheduled for noon in Sunset Park, 2601 Sunset Road, with access to the public three hours earlier. The National Weather Service is forecasting 89-degree temperatures when gates open at 9 am, rising to 99 by noon before topping out later that afternoon at 102.

Karoline Leavitt, the campaign's national press secretary, said in an email, "In anticipation of the hot temperature in Las Vegas on Sunday, we will have ample water available, misting fans, and cooling tents. We also worked with the United States Secret Service to make exceptions for guests to bring their own water bottles and purse-size umbrellas through security."

Nevada's event isn't the only rally recently that is being held in the desert heat. At a Turning Point rally in Phoenix on Thursday that featured Trump, 11 people were sent to the hospital for heat exhaustion while waiting outside.

Trump's visit to the Silver State comes just over a week after he was found guilty of 34 felony counts related to falsifying business records, becoming the first former president convicted of a felony. Following that verdict, Trump's presidential bid hasn't seemed to falter. His campaign and the Republican National Committee announced a $141 million fundraising haul in May, which the campaign says shows support for Trump while facing what it called the "sham Biden trial." The campaign reported it raised $53 million online in the 24 hours after the guilty verdict was read, noting that 25% of the donors in May were brand new to the 2024 campaign.

Polls consistently show Trump ahead of Biden in Nevada, even though the current president won the Silver State in 2020 by more than 30,000 votes. A Fox News poll released Thursday and conducted June 1 through June 4 shows more Nevadans said they trust Trump to do a better job on the Israel-Hamas war, the economy, and the border.

Ahead of his visit to the Silver State, Trump has made multiple announcements regarding Nevada, encouraging Nevadans to get out and vote in the June 11 primary. He also made an endorsement in Nevada's 4th Congressional District, backing former North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee. Trump has yet to endorse in the key Senate race that could determine party control of the Senate. In a crowded primary field, nationally backed Sam Brown and Dr. Jeff Gunter, former ambassador to Iceland under the Trump administration, have been vying for Trump's support.

Ahead of Trump's visit to the Silver State, Democratic leaders and organizations warned of what another Trump presidency would look like. "We are standing here today together to make it clear before Donald Trump comes to Las Vegas that we will not stand for four more years of failed promises, of anti-worker schemes, or of Trump's billionaire-first scams," said Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Daniele Monroe-Moreno at a press conference Friday with local union workers.

In a press call on Thursday, Democratic Assemblyman Howard Watts discussed actions Trump took as president relating to the environment, such as backing out of the Paris Climate Agreement and giving tax breaks to big oil companies. Biden, on the other hand, has taken more than 320 climate actions and is working to save families money on their energy bills, Watts said. "President Biden has by far done more to cut pollution, protect our environment, and promote our clean energy economy than any US president ever. Trump is out of touch with what our community needs and is the wrong choice for Nevada," Watts said.

At a rally in New Jersey on Saturday that attracted a crowd of 100,000, former President Donald Trump voiced his support for "Israel's right to win its war on terror." He claimed the October 7 attack would not have occurred under his watch. Addressing pro-Palestine protests on American college campuses, Trump stated, "When I'm president, we will not allow colleges to be taken over by violent radicals. If you come here from another country and try to bring jihadism, anti-Americanism, or antisemitism to our campuses, we will immediately deport you, you'll be out of that school."

Trump also called on President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party to "return the donations of all antisemites, America haters, and financiers of chaos who have funded the chaos on our campuses." He criticized Biden's decision to "withhold shipping weapons to Israel as they fight to eradicate Hamas terrorists in Gaza," asserting, "I support Israel's right to win its war on terror. Is that okay? I don't know if that's good or bad politically. I don't care. Gotta do what's right."

"You could take the 10 worst presidents in the history of our country, and add them up ... and they haven't done the damage to our country that this total moron has done," Trump said to a cheering crowd. "The gloves are off. He's a bad guy … he's the worst president ever, of any country. The whole world is laughing at him, he's a fool," continued Trump.

While New Jersey is not often a focal point in presidential elections, Trump held a rally on a South Jersey beach near Pennsylvania, likely attracting attendees from the crucial Keystone State. "As you can see, today, we're expanding the electoral maps because we are going to officially play in the state of New Jersey. We're going to win the state of New Jersey," Trump told the crowd. "Millions of people in so-called blue states are joining our movement based on love, intelligence, and a thing called common sense."

However, national outlets like the Cook Political Report rate New Jersey as "solid Democratic," and the state has not voted for a Republican presidential candidate since 1988. Trump lost New Jersey by double digits in both of his presidential campaigns.
