Following the controversy surrounding the selection of the first Palestinian representative at the Miss Universe contest, "Miss Palestine" Nadine Ayoub is now sparking a new and particularly infuriating storm.

Ayoub published a series of posts about the Gaza war on social media, which have since been deleted, and was caught lying repeatedly. In one post, Ayoub claimed that the number of casualties in Gaza stands at 680,000 – ten times the unverified figures cited by the Gaza Health Ministry, which is run by Hamas.

In another post, she claimed that significant Israeli sites – including Masada and the Western Wall – are located in Palestinian territories. The controversy reached its height when Ayoub shared videos of Israeli children, including Noya Dan, Kfir Bibas, and Ariel Bibas, who were murdered by Hamas terrorists on October 7, and were presented as Palestinians.

In Ayoub's post, which has since been deleted, she wrote that these children are innocent and their only "crime was that they were in Palestine", without any mention that these were actually Israeli children murdered by Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

Ayoub's false messages prompted Miss Israel, Melanie Shiraz, to respond forcefully to her posts in a separate video on social media. "She presented them in a way that implied they were Palestinian victims. Let me be absolutely clear – these children were Israeli. They were born in Israel, they lived in Israel, and they were murdered because they were Israeli. The land they came from is not called Palestine. Presenting them otherwise is a deliberate distortion designed to erase their true identity."

"To take these innocent Israeli children – murdered in their homes or in captivity – and to present them as though they were Palestinian casualties is not an act of compassion," she emphasized, adding that Ayoub spreads lies so easily refuted that they undermine her credibility.

Ayoub will represent the Palestinian territories at the Miss Universe 2025 contest to be held on November 21 in Pak Kret, Thailand – an event that will mark the first Palestinian participation since the contest's founding, where she will also meet Miss Israel Melanie Shiraz – an encounter that could be particularly explosive and it seems the real drama is still ahead.

In a remote screening held Wednesday evening in Buenos Aires, the new documentary film by Argentine journalist Alfredo Luco launched in collaboration with director Mariana Blini and producer and journalist Gabriel Ben-Tasael. The documentary bearing the shocking title "Bibas: Murdered for Being Jewish" represents the product of over a year of research and testimony collection, aimed at serving as a tool for documenting the truth and commemorating the memory of the Bibas family members, who were kidnapped from Nir Oz kibbutz during the October 7 massacre. Shiri, the family's mother, and the small children Kfir and Ariel, were brutally murdered in Hamas captivity.

The film opens with chilling scenes from the terrorists' cameras, showing the late Shiri Bibas embracing her two sons, the late four-year-old Ariel and the late nine-month-old Kfir. "I wanted to collaborate with Israel," Luco explained in an interview with the Infobae website. "To do something, pick oranges or something like that. My friends told me I should do what I do best, and that's how the idea arose to create a documentary film about the tragedy of the Silberman-Bibas family."

The documentary traces the family's tragic journey starting from the morning of October 7, when Hamas forces raided Nir Oz kibbutz and reveals how the family members were kidnapped – Yarden, Shiri's husband, was taken by Hamas, while Shiri and the children were separated from him and taken by another group of terrorists. On that same day, Shiri's parents, Yossi and Margit Silberman, were also murdered in their home in Nir Oz. The film also features Ophelia Roitman, a captivity survivor who was kidnapped from Nir Oz and testified that she saw Shiri passing by her on a motorcycle. "She was very pale and I saw a tear," Roitman said.

Yarden's release from captivity after 484 days and his search for his family are conveyed with emotional intensity to the viewer, as he describes the disturbing process of identifying bodies that included deliberate errors by Hamas. Ultimately, only after nearly a year and a half, the bodies of Shiri and her children were definitively identified, with the post-mortem autopsy report determining that the children were intentionally murdered first. The funeral of Shiri and the children is presented in the film as a display of grief and hope, as thousands of people accompany the coffins in a long procession. In a breathtaking scene, Yarden is seen standing over their fresh grave and saying, "Sorry, Shiri, I couldn't protect you."

The film does not settle for describing the events alone, but rather emphasizes the human and ideological dimensions of the attack. It includes testimonies from close family members, like that of Dana, Shiri's sister, who tearfully recounts the last messages she received from the family and her walk among the ruins of their parents' burned house, as well as from her cousin.

"At first they were calm, and then at some point they just stopped answering," she recounted. "The phone showed that it was in Gaza, but my parents were burned to death here. We discovered this only after 15 days, following examinations by anthropologists of the house remains. Only my father's grill remained standing, as a sad symbol of the Argentine tradition." The film presents the contrast between the kibbutz residents' belief in coexistence and the betrayal by Palestinians from Gaza, who, according to testimonies, raided the kibbutz alongside the terrorists to loot property and received support from the Latin America Foundation Fund, which announced the establishment of a kindergarten in Israel in memory of the family.

The Mujahideen Brigades, the terrorist organization that abducted and murdered Shiri, Kfir, and Ariel Bibas, announced Thursday that one of its senior military intelligence commanders was eliminated in an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) strike.

According to the group's statement, Imad al-Baba, also known as "Abu Ashraf," was killed along with members of his family. Palestinian media outlets reported that the Israeli Air Force carried out the strike in the central Gaza Strip.

Kfir, Ariel, and Shiri Bibas

Earlier this month, the IDF and the Shin Bet security agency eliminated another senior figure in the same organization, Mohammed Hassan Mohammed Awad, in a strike in northern Gaza. Awad was the commander behind the abduction of Shiri, Kfir, and Ariel Bibas and was reportedly also involved in their murders. According to an IDF statement, Awad had infiltrated Kibbutz Nir Oz multiple times during the October 7 massacre. He also played a role in the abduction and burial of Haggai Gadi and Judy Lynn Weinstein, and was involved in the kidnapping of Thai nationals.

The IDF Arabic-language spokesperson Col. Avichay Adraee issued an evacuation notice to residents of Beit Hanoun and Sheikh Zayed in northern Gaza, emphasizing that this was a final warning ahead of an imminent large-scale strike. The warning followed recent sniper and terrorist activities originating from the area targeting Israeli forces.

Adraee further stressed that terrorist organizations, led by Hamas, bear full responsibility for the need to evacuate and the suffering of civilians, urging Palestinians to move toward Gaza City.

Following the deeply emotional funeral of Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir Bibas, which moved the hearts of many, journalist and comedian Hanoch Daum shared a special tribute that took place during the ceremony on his Instagram account.

"Something small that Yarden Bibas wanted to share with the public (he asked me to do so on his behalf): Every time a rock song played on the car radio, Ariel would make the signature rock gesture together with his father, Yarden. During the funeral yesterday, Yarden and his nephew Alon, the son of Dana, Shiri's sister, shared a small moment dedicated to Ariel," Daum wrote.

This tribute adds to Yarden Bibas' eulogy, which left no eye dry last night. In his speech, he spoke about his children, saying: "Ariel, I hope you're not angry at me that I couldn't protect you properly and that I wasn't there for you. I hope you know that I thought about you every day and every minute. I hope you're enjoying heaven, and I'm sure you're making all the angels laugh," Yarden wept.

To Ariel's younger son Kfir, he said: "I didn't think our family could be more perfect, and then you came and made it even more perfect. I remember your birth. I remember that after Shiri had gone into labor, the midwife suddenly stopped everything, and we got scared, afraid that something had happened, but it was only to tell us that we had another redhead. Mom and I laughed and were happy."

"The trees are so heavy, the fruit bends the branches; this is the hour when children fall asleep. The lamb will return to its mother's embrace, lie down in the pen and fall asleep, and the sheep will kiss him, and she will call him by name."

An entire country and a whole nation are now in a time of mourning and lamentation, pain and weeping. A time when two tender lambs – golden infants – finally return, in their mother's embrace, to us, to their home. And all of us, an entire nation with a broken heart, accompany them to their eternal rest.

Master of the universe, this is not how we prayed they would return to us. This is not the moment we waited for, nor the ending we hoped for. In our mind's eye, we saw them returning, their golden heads shining, with that lively, mischievous look gleaming in their small eyes. And mother Shiri, in her breathtaking courage, still sheltering them under her wings, protecting them from all harm; exactly as she did when facing Satan, whom they encountered at such a tender age.

The image of Shiri, carrying her two golden children with eyes torn open from terror, forging a path for them between rifle butts and human monsters – will remain seared in us forever. This image contains within it simultaneously the purest light, the most noble and pure love; and, incomprehensibly, the most horrifying, distilled evil. This image is a single moment in time that encapsulates the entire story of the October 7 disaster – Simchat Torah. The essence of goodness against the lust for murder. And how great is our heartbreak.

The lullaby we carry in our hearts today is an eternal lullaby. As sweet, beloved Kfir and Ariel are brought to an Israeli grave, to eternal rest, together with their remarkable mother Shiri.

If there is still mercy in the world, may the beautiful faces of Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir become a heart-piercing cry, echoing in all corners of the earth. A weeping that travels from one end of the world to the other, awakening the hearts of people whose senses have dulled, whose sense of justice has been distorted, whose hearts have been sealed. Look, world – today we are burying the sweetest and purest of your children. Open your heart, world, join the great cry that an entire broken nation is shouting today.

Beloved Shiri, Kfir, and Ariel. Know that from the day you were torn from us, we did not cease for even a moment to pray and hope, to wait, to cry, to yearn for you to return to us alive. That together with brave, heroic father Yarden, who recently returned to us from the valley of the shadow of death, all of you would return to your warm and beautiful home. And now, there are no words with the power to heal the heart. And we refuse to be consoled.

Beloved Yarden, and all the Bibas, Silverman, and Siton families – we all cry with you, embrace you, are broken with you. As president of the State of Israel, in the name of the State of Israel, I ask your forgiveness. Forgiveness that we did not fulfill our duty. Forgiveness that we did not protect your loved ones on that cursed day. Forgiveness that we did not save them, that we did not bring them home safely.

In this moment of heartbreak, I wish to quote the words of Ohad Ben Ami, who returned to us from the horror of captivity and told me this: "The moment we knew they were fighting for us and wanted us to return, it gave us all the strength and reinforced us... There were six of us in six square meters. We were together, secular and religious, soldiers and civilians. We lived in conditions that were not conditions, 30 meters underground, and we were together. This is what we are built on."

Words about unity don't always manage to enter our hearts. But to hear Ohad, who returned from an inconceivable hell, speak about our unity as a life-saving force – this is no longer a slogan, it is a commandment with sacred and binding validity for all of us. The living, beating, magnificent heart of our nation, which was revealed to us this year in all its glory, contains many voices; and now all of us, all parts of this nation, must look directly at the image of Shiri, Kfir, and Ariel, and swear to hold on tightly, together.

Thus – together – as a whole nation with a broken heart, we will accompany Kfir, Ariel, and Shiri to eternal rest today, and may we tear open the gates of heaven in prayer: that their beloved, pure, and innocent souls be bound in the bond of life forever; and that we merit the swift return of all the hostages, to the very last one.

Thousands of people in Buenos Aires participated Monday night in a rally in memory of the Bibas family members and in calling for the release of all hostages from Hamas captivity. The rally was organized by multiple Jewish organizations in Argentina.

The rally took place on Israel Street in the Almagro neighborhood of the Argentine capital. "Under gray and heavy skies, the crowd proceeded holding signs for the release of hostages held in Gaza. They marched with tears in their eyes. The march was not just a protest, it was a cry against the atrocity they have been experiencing since October 7," wrote the local media outlet La Nacion.

Israeli Ambassador to the country, Eyal Sela, participated in the rally and said he was "happy that so many people came to call for the release of the hostages, among them still four Argentine citizens. We are also here to remember the Bibas family."

Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir Bibas were Argentine citizens, and after their murder in captivity became known, the country declared a day of mourning and the famous obelisk of the capital was illuminated with their image.

Gabriel Levy, a 45-year-old doctor, told La Nacion: "We saw the pictures of the hostages, most in difficult condition: malnutrition, signs of torture, psychological abuse. This is a war crime and the world needs to act decisively," Levy said. "We are not coming just as Jews – we are coming as human beings to demand justice and freedom."

AMIA President Amos Linetzky attacked the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague. "What motivates them to be eager to pursue Israeli authorities for dubious crimes," he said and also added criticism of the Red Cross "which for more than 500 days never cared about the health of the hostages," adding that it is a "supporting actor in a terrorist propaganda circus."

Miriam Katz, a 62-year-old retiree, told La Nacion with her voice choked with tears: "I have lived all my life in Argentina and never thought I would need to take to the streets to demand the release of kidnapped Jews. We cannot be indifferent to the pain of the families. Every hostage who returns tells us things worse than what we imagined. How long will this continue?" she asked in despair.

Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir Bibas will be laid to rest tomorrow at the cemetery in Nir Oz. The funeral ceremony itself will be held with the participation of family and invited guests only, but many are expected to accompany the funeral procession that will depart from Rishon LeZion to the kibbutz from which they were kidnapped on October 7.

"In these painful and difficult days, there are no words that can express the magnitude of gratitude we feel towards all of you. The warm embrace, love, and strength you are sending from all corners of the country and the world strengthen us and accompany us in moments of breakdown. We feel the open hearts, the enormous embrace, your pain alongside our pain – and this is not taken for granted," the family wrote in their statement.

The Buenos Aires city council announced on Sunday its intention to rename Palestine Street, one of the city's oldest thoroughfares, to Bibas Family Street.

The decision came through a personal initiative by President Javier Milei after learning of the murder of Shiri Bibas and her two young children, Ariel and Kfir, in Hamas captivity. "This is a symbolic step expressing Argentina's clear moral stance," Milei said in an official statement from the presidential office.

The street renaming represents one of the highlights in a series of measures taken by the Argentine government in support of Israel since the October 7 terror attack. Immediately upon learning of the murder of the Bibas family members, President Milei declared two days of national mourning, an unprecedented step demonstrating the nation's deep solidarity with the tragedy.

In his recent speech at CPAC in Washington, Milei addressed Hamas' actions with exceptional severity. He described the October 7 attack as a "cowardly act" and defined the murder of the mother and her two children as an "immoral and shocking act." The Argentine president also harshly condemned the "barbaric act" of displaying coffins before a crowd with no respect for the deceased.

As part of the expressions of solidarity, numerous public buildings across Argentina were illuminated in orange, including the famous Obelisk in Buenos Aires. This gesture joined similar demonstrations worldwide, including the illumination of the Christ statue in Rio de Janeiro, the Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco, and foreign ministry buildings in various countries.

President Milei sent his personal condolences to Yarden Bibas, the family's father, who was recently released from Hamas captivity after 484 days. The official statement from the presidential office read: "It is monstrous that these events occurred in this century and that their deaths stemmed from one motive: being Jewish."

The decision to rename the street joins a series of diplomatic and practical steps taken by Argentina in support of Israel, with Milei becoming one of the world's most prominent leaders in his unequivocal support for the State of Israel and its fight against terrorism.

In a announcement overnight between Thursday and Friday, the IDF stated that the body returned to them is not that of Shiri Bibas. The identification process, conducted at the National Center for Forensic Medicine in collaboration with the Israel Police, confirmed that the remains did not match Shiri or any of the other hostages.

The identification procedure involved multiple DNA cross-checks and thorough forensic examinations. Despite these efforts, no match was found. The clothing on the body was also carefully analyzed but could not be identified. The IDF emphasized that this is an anonymous body and stated: "Hamas has violated the agreement, and we demand the return of Shiri."

The IDF further warned that there are grave concerns for Shiri's life, based on solid intelligence information.

Israel has urgently conveyed to mediators that Hamas' failure to hand over Shiri Bibas' body constitutes a severe breach of the ceasefire agreement. Gal Hirsch, Israel's coordinator for hostages and missing persons, spoke with Adam Boehler, a former Trump administration envoy for hostage affairs, to update him on the situation and stress Israel's demand for the immediate return of Shiri's remains.

At the same time, the IDF confirmed that Kfir and Ariel Bibas were brutally murdered in Hamas captivity no later than November 2023. This grim conclusion is based not only on DNA tests but also on forensic evidence and unequivocal intelligence findings gathered during the investigation. "This was a premeditated, deliberate, and cold-blooded murder," the statement said.

Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari personally informed the Bibas family at Kfar Maccabiah, alongside the children's father, Yarden, who himself had returned from Hamas captivity. The meeting was deeply emotional and painful. "There are no words to contain the magnitude of the pain and loss," Hagari described the difficult moments.

Additionally, the remains of Oded Lifshitz were also identified during the process. Experts determined that he was murdered by Hamas terrorists. Israel has briefed its US counterparts on the severity of these developments.

Previously, it had been reported that the terrorist group "Lords of the Wilderness," affiliated with Salafi jihadist ideology, was responsible for the kidnapping and captivity of the Bibas family.

The IDF confirmed that the planned release of hostages is still expected to take place on Saturday as scheduled, as part of ongoing negotiations and under the directives of Israel's leadership. Six hostages are set to return to Israel.

In Kibbutz Nir Oz, residents mourned the Bibas brothers:

"Ariel, who was kidnapped at age 4, was born and raised in Nir Oz. A cheerful and mischievous child, a true redhead who loved superheroes, tractors, and cars, and never stopped jumping and climbing. Kfir, who was kidnapped at just 9 months old, was a calm and smiling baby, with red hair and a heartwarming laugh. Everywhere he went, he beamed with joy at anyone who reached out to him."

"We will remember Ariel by his infectious laughter and Kfir by his innocent smile," they wrote, while also calling for Shiri's return. "In these dark moments, we demand the immediate return of their mother, Shiri Bibas, and we will not stop fighting until she is back, along with all the kidnapped residents of the kibbutz and the State of Israel."

The international community issued strong responses on Wednesday to Israel's confirmation about the return of four hostages murdered by the Hamas terror organization, with particular focus on Shiri Bibas and her two young children.

United States Ambassador-designate to the UN Elise Stefanik delivered an emotional statement: "The world's hearts break learning of the horrific fate of Shiri Bibas, Ariel Bibas, Kfir Bibas, and Oded Lifshitz. The world must never forget that Hamas terrorists brutally murdered more than 1,200 innocent civilians including women, children, infants, and elderly, took hundreds of hostages, and committed unspeakable atrocities against humanity on October 7. As we learn more about the tragic fates and devastating loss of life of these innocent victims, we remember this must not be Israel's fight alone, but rather a battle between good and evil, between civilization and barbarism."

"It has never been more important to show our unequivocal support for our most cherished ally, and it is clear that under President Donald Trump's leadership, America stands firmly with Israel and the Jewish people. We will not rest until all hostages are brought home," Stefanik wrote.

South Carolina Representative Nancy Mace, who visited Israel this week, posted a forceful message on X: "Israel just confirmed that Shiri Bibas and her precious little sons, Ariel and Kfir, were brutally murdered in Palestinian captivity. I visited their kibbutz and home this week. They weren't just names in the news – they were a beautiful family whose future was stolen from them. Hamas needs to rot in hell."

On Tuesday, French President Emmanuel Macron responded to the confirmation of the Bibas family members' deaths with a message of solidarity on X: "Shiri, Kfir, Ariel. Faces of innocence and love. Faces of eternal humanity that Hamas's barbarity cannot erase. France, which is working for the release of the hostages, stands with Yarden and the Bibas family in universal brotherhood."

On Wednesday, President of the Argentinian Commission for Human Rights shared, "Argentina will then declare a National Day of Mourning in their honour. Two Argentinian babies assassinated because of Hamas terrorism." The brothers held Argentine citizenship through their father Yarden Bibas, who was recently released from captivity. "A huge hug to the Bibas family. Today, all Argentines are with you," Ajmechet added in her statement.

Argentina President Javier Milei posted on X an image showing Shiri, Kfir, and Ariel with the caption: "Blessed be their memories" and "Blessed is the True Judge. These phrases are traditionally said in Jewish mourning to acknowledge God's judgment.
