A brand new video and revamped version of the song were released on Friday.

Alene was scheduled to represent Israel at the contest in 2020 with Feker Libi, a song written, among others, by famous Israeli singer Idan Raichel, in four languages – English, Hebrew, Amharic and Arabic.

The competition was canceled due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

Israel hosted the Eurovision in 2019 in Tel Aviv after singer Netta Barzilai's win the year before with her pop anthem Toy, marked Israel's fourth win in the contest.

The 2021 Eurovision Song Contest is set to take place in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands, and will consist of two semi-finals on  May 18 and 20, with the final set to air on May 22.

Israel's entry for the Eurovision 2021 pop song competition will be chosen on Jan. 25 during a special broadcast on Kan 11 News hosted by Lucy Ayoub.

The special program will feature Israel's Eurovision representative, Eden Alene – whose scheduled appearance in 2020 was cancelled when the event was axed due to coronavirus – singing the three final contenders: "La La Love," "Set Me Free," and "O La La."

The winner will represent Israel at this year's Eurovision event, scheduled to take place in the Netherlands, pandemic permitting.

However, it appears that the Europeans are less than enthused about the songs, which have already been made public. After they were unveiled, bookmakers were putting Israel in next-to-last place to win the competition.

The European Broadcasting Union announced Wednesdays that the Eurovision song contest will take place in May 2021 despite the coronavirus pandemic.

The EBU explained that each country will prepare a performance as is usually done every year. However, this year performers will also be required to create a filmed version of the performance and send it in ahead of time in case the competition is disrupted due to government restrictions, quarantines, and other coronavirus-related reasons.

Singer Eden Alene will be representing Israel in 2021. She was supposed to represent Israel in 2020, but the contest was canceled earlier this year due to the outbreak of the virus.

At the beginning of next year, Alene and her team will choose one song that she will sing in front of the whole world at the Eurovision song contest. Israel will participate in the first semi-final of the competition and hopefully, qualify for the final and even win. We are all rooting for Eden.

The Eurovision song contest will not take place this year in Rotterdam due to the global coronavirus outbreak, organizers said.

"It is with deep regret that we have to announce the cancellation of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam," they said in a statement. "It is impossible to continue with the live event as planned."

Organizers said the contest that pits performers and songs representing countries from around Europe and further afield against one another has been broadcast for 64 years without interruption "and we, like the millions of fans around the world, are extremely saddened that it cannot take place in May."

Dutch singer Duncan Laurence won last year's contest, earning the Netherlands the right to stage this year's event.

The European Broadcasting Union says it will continue talks with Dutch host broadcasters and Rotterdam authorities about hosting the contest in 2021.
