First lady Melania Trump granted Fox News an exclusive advance screening of her forthcoming theatrical documentary "MELANIA," slated for global cinema release next month. The 104-minute documentary will premiere in theaters worldwide on Jan. 30, 2026, appearing across North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and beyond, Fox News reported. Amazon plans to follow with a companion documentary series in the coming months.

"History is set in motion during the 20 days of my life prior to the US Presidential Inauguration," the first lady told Fox News. "For the first time, global audiences are invited into theaters to witness this pivotal chapter unfold a private, unfiltered look as I navigate family, business, and philanthropy on my remarkable journey to becoming First Lady of the United States of America."

Fox News exclusively secured the trailer, opening with the first lady stepping into the US Capitol rotunda ahead of her husband's second swearing-in ceremony. Dressed in her now-iconic inauguration attire, she states: "Here we go again." The trailer alternates between the first lady and president at the inauguration; the pair standing outside Mar-a-Lago; behind-the-scenes inauguration moments featuring Barron Trump and First Lady Trump's father; various images of the first lady; Air Force One; the presidential seal and more, Fox News reported.

The first lady explained that the story "has never been told, and because the subject matter is historically consequential, it was imperative for me to produce a film of the highest cinematic standard, suitable exclusively in theaters worldwide. The 20 days of my life, preceding the US Presidential inauguration, constitutes a rare and defining moment one that warrants meticulous care, integrity, and uncompromising craftsmanship," she stated. "I am proud to share this very specific moment of my life 20 days of intense transition and planning with moviegoers and fans across the globe."

Fox News confirmed the first lady remained involved "in every aspect" of the film – from her "creative vision," to serving as producer and ensuring proper post-production marketing execution. Sources told Fox News she maintained a "hands-on" approach throughout. The film was produced in a "highly cinematic" style. Sources told Fox News the first lady wanted the film to appear as an "elevated film" rather than a documentary. First Lady Trump conceived the film idea in November 2024, after President Trump won the election.

Marc Beckman, First Lady Trump's agent and exclusive senior advisor, led negotiations with Amazon, specifically CEO Andy Jassy, beginning Nov. 18, 2024, according to Fox NewsFox News confirmed Disney sought exclusive rights; Netflix and Paramount also competed. Amazon and MGM submitted the highest bid, purchasing the license for $40 million – the largest documentary deal in history.

"I'm honored to be working with Amazon they've been great partners from the minute we started to negotiate the deal, through production, and now as we gear up for the film's release," Beckham told Fox News. "Speaking of the deal, there has been so much speculation in the press on the bidding and how we ended up with Amazon, that we're at a point where it's worth clarifying a few things," Beckman said.

First, Beckman told Fox News some bidders were "interested only in a film, and others only in a series." "Amazon ended up bidding on both, and checked all the boxes we were looking for, as they could also deliver a theatrical film release," Beckman explained. "I've seen reporting that Amazon paid nearly three times the nearest other bid, and that's just false," Beckman said, according to Fox News. "It was an incredibly competitive bidding process with multiple rounds of bids."

The film launches one year after her debut book, "Melania," Fox News reported. The memoir provides an intimate portrait of Melania Trump and includes personal stories and family photos she had not previously shared publicly. "Melania" has remained atop the New York Times' best-selling list since its public release.

After last year's memoir release, the first lady told Fox News that writing her story was "an amazing journey filled with emotional highs and lows. Each story shaped me into who I am today," she said. "Although daunting at times, the process has been incredibly rewarding, reminding me of my strength, and the beauty of sharing my truth."

Donald Trump and Melania Trump engaged in a serious discussion. In Washington, D.C., this happened after the Marine One landing. The couple was returning from the New York United Nations General Assembly, where the president delivered his annual speech at the forum's General Debate. Footage shows President Trump gesturing as Melania shakes her head. They later walked hand-in-hand across the South Lawn. Reporters at the scene received a wave from President Trump.

The president waved a finger at his wife, according to the footage obtained by Sky News video, while Melania Trump shakes her head. Disembarking from Marine One after their return from New York, the couple walks hand-in-hand across the White House's South Lawn. Preceding this exchange was a viral moment where Melania Trump failed to applaud her husband's UN speech at first, only offering two claps after noticing the cameras were focused on her.

Their New York visit included tense moments. Writing on Truth Social, President Trump, who is married for a third time, alleged that serious injury was narrowly avoided by himself and Melania prior to his UN speech. "A REAL DISGRACE took place at the United Nations yesterday – Not one, not two, but three very sinister events!" was written by President Trump, who claimed that a broken escalator could have gravely injured them. He also alleged that the simultaneous interpration of his speech was disrupted and the telemprompter was sabotaged.

"It's amazing that Melania and I didn't fall forward onto the sharp edges of these steel steps, face first. It was only that we were each holding the handrail tightly or, it would have been a disaster," the president was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. The accidental stop of the escalator was later clarified by a UN spokesperson, who blamed a videographer from the American delegation for triggering the stop mechanism.

Stepping out of the shadows, Melania Trump made a rare public appearance Monday at President Donald Trump's traditional Easter Egg Roll at the White House. The First Lady stood beside her husband to welcome adorable children to the post-Easter event held on the South Lawn.

Melania, 54, and Donald, 78, blew whistles together, signaling children to begin the annual egg-rolling competition. Later that day, Melania read the book "Bunny with a Big Heart" by Marilyn Sadler.

The former model looked elegant in a neutral-toned trench coat tied at the waist and pointed green high heels. She was in high spirits throughout the fun day and was photographed smiling with children at several activity stations.

At one point, she and Donald even held hands, and he was seen kissing her on the cheek, a relatively rare event in the couple's public life.

Visitors enjoyed various activity stations, including a station for writing greeting cards to the military, a hopscotch area, and a reading corner. Children were seen participating in activities such as flower arranging, decorating eggs and cookies, coloring, and games. There was also live music with young singer Go with YoYo taking the stage, and performances by the Army, Navy, Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, Navy Band, and Air Force orchestras throughout the day.

Also attending the event were the politician's son, Donald Trump Jr., his girlfriend, Bettina Anderson, and his five children, Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer, and Chloe.

Melania, who divides her time between Washington, New York, and Mar-a-Lago, confirmed her participation in the egg event last week. "As families across the nation gather to celebrate Easter, I express my gratitude to the dedicated East Wing staff for their tireless efforts in preparing the upcoming White House Easter Egg Roll," she wrote on Twitter on April 18.

"This cherished tradition, rooted in history since 1878, brings joy, stories, and laughter to America's children," she continued. "I look forward to seeing all the smiles brighten this special day."

It's a rare sight to see Donald and Melania in the company of young children, and it seems the positive and joyful atmosphere at the traditional Easter event at the White House caused them to relax and show a side we've hardly seen until now.

In a move celebrating the continuity of American democratic traditions, First Lady Melania Trump announced Thursday the restoration of public tours at the White House, resuming a practice that dates back to the nation's early years and symbolizes the accessibility of American government to its citizens. "The president and I are delighted to welcome visitors eager to explore the remarkable story of this iconic and magnificent building," the first lady said.

Mere weeks after President Donald Trump's inauguration, White House officials confirmed the completion of all necessary preparations for receiving visitors. "There is an abundance of knowledge to share about the American presidency, First Families, and our nation's rich and distinctive history – traditions we are privileged to continue presenting to the hundreds of thousands of visitors who grace these halls each year," Melania Trump remarked.

Following Trump's election victory in December, tours were briefly suspended to enable the incoming administration to implement modifications and prepare the building for the new government. Trump and his team transitioned to the White House in late January.

American citizens can secure spots on White House tours, which operate in a single morning session between 7:30 AM and 11:30 AM. Tour registration is coordinated through the office of the constituent's Congressional representative. Enhanced tours are offered on Fridays and Saturdays until 1:30 PM, providing access to additional areas not included in standard tours.

Advance reservations require booking between seven and 90 days before the intended visit date. The White House East Wing, public rooms, and presidential residence welcome visitors, with Washington tourists traditionally exploring various chambers of the historic mansion during morning hours.

For international visitors, foreign citizens can register for White House tours through their nation's embassy or consulate in Washington, with early registration strongly advised.

Had she not become First Lady, Melania Trump might have graced the silver screen as a Bond girl – with her supermodel figure, alluring foreign accent, and head-to-toe couture. While her husband transformed from a real estate tycoon and reality TV star to the world's most powerful man, the woman beside him has her own fascinating story. As she prepares to potentially make her elegant return to the White House in Manolo Blahniks, here are some revealing facts about Melania Trump.

Father, mother, and half-brother

The 54-year-old wife of the comeback-seeking president was born Melanija Knavs in 1970 in Novo Mesto, Slovenia (then part of Yugoslavia), to a father who started as a driver before becoming a car salesman and a mother who was a fashion designer. She has one sister and a half-brother from her father's previous relationship, whom, according to reports, she never met as their father refused to acknowledge him as his son.

As a child, she participated in fashion shows and showed talent in sewing and design. Beyond her artistic abilities, she also demonstrated impressive academic skills and served as her school's treasurer.

Modeling career and nude photoshoots

With her striking features, sculpted figure, and impressive height of 5'11" - like his mother, her son Barron stands tall at 6'9" - it was almost inevitable that Melania would try modeling. She began at age 16, leading to a contract with a modeling agency and subsequently a career in Europe and the USA that included shoots for prestigious fashion magazines such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Sports Illustrated.

During her career, she appeared nude in a series of photos for GQ and Max magazines, and in what seemed like a prophetic shoot, she posed as First Lady in a 1993 fashion editorial.

Early in her modeling career, she won a beauty contest where the prize was a movie role, but she declined it after being sexually harassed by a producer. During this period, to advance her international modeling career, she changed her surname to Knauss.

The incomplete degree and language skills

Despite claims of holding an architecture degree from the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, journalists discovered in 2016 that she dropped out after her first year of design and architecture studies. Plot twist: references to her degree were swiftly removed from her official White House biography.

Reports claimed she spoke no fewer than six languages: Slovenian, English, French, Serbian, Italian, and German. However, according to The Washington Post journalist Mary Jordan's book, people who crossed paths with her over the years alleged that she wasn't fluent in most of them, and her knowledge was limited to basic words.

First meeting with Trump

In 1998, she first met Trump at a party at the time he was "just" a wealthy real estate magnate and the couple began dating while he was in the midst of divorcing his second wife, Marla Maples. They got engaged in 2004 and married in 2005; marriage number three for him, number one (and still counting) for her.

In 2006, their son Barron William Trump was born. While Melania picked his middle name, Trump chose Barron the same name he'd used as his own alias when trying to keep his identity under wraps.

The million-dollar wedding

Her 2005 wedding featured a Dior gown designed by John Galliano (which graced the cover of Vogue) with an estimated cost exceeding $200,000, taking 550 hours to create, adorned with 1,500 crystals, incorporating 92 yards of premium satin, and a 16-foot veil. It weighed over 44 pounds.

After the ceremony, she changed into a lighter dress by designer Vera Wang. She forwent a bouquet, instead holding ancient family prayer beads. She walked down the aisle to an opera soprano's rendition of "Ave Maria." The wedding ring was valued at over $1.5 million, with reports indicating the diamond was 12 carats.

The event was split into two parts: first, a ceremony at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida, followed by an elaborate reception at Mar-a-Lago, Trump's resort estate, in a room costing tens of millions to construct, inspired by Louis XIV and decorated with 10,000 flowers. Among the wedding guests were Bill and Hillary Clinton, Heidi Klum, Shaquille O'Neal, Simon Cowell, Barbara Walters, and P Diddy.

Guests enjoyed a Michelin-style menu featuring caviar, shrimp, lobsters, steaks, and hundreds of bottles of premium Cristal champagne. The wedding cake stood at five feet tall, weighed 200 pounds, and was decorated with 3,000 sugar flowers soaked in Grand Marnier cream, though guests never tasted it as it remained uncut. Instead, they enjoyed an extensive dessert menu and were sent home with individual chocolate truffle cakes. A 46-piece orchestra entertained guests while first-tier singers including Elton John, Tony Bennett, Billy Joel, and Paul Anka took turns performing.

Business ventures and plagiarism scandal

Before becoming First Lady, Melania launched a jewelry collection on QVC (the American shopping channel) and a caviar skincare line. Both ventures disappeared almost as quickly as they appeared. Parts of her 2016 Republican Convention speech were copied from Michelle Obama's 2008 Democratic Convention speech. Her team called it "common words and values." The internet called it copy-paste.

How she ruined Christmas

As First Lady, she launched a campaign called "Be Best" focusing on children's welfare, cyberbullying, and opioid addiction, with critics pointing out the irony of her anti-cyberbullying stance given her husband's Twitter habits.

In 2018, her use of red Christmas trees sparked criticism as many compared them to horror movie scenes. Melania stood by her choices, calling them "avant-garde." In 2020, she became embroiled in another Christmas controversy when leaked recordings revealed her saying "Who gives a f--- about Christmas stuff?" during a discussion about her First Lady duties.

An exceptional model?

Melania received her EB-1 visa (also known as the "Einstein visa" or "extraordinary ability" visa) in 2001, typically reserved for individuals with "extraordinary ability and skills" in science, technology, education, engineering, mathematics, and other fields, often including Nobel Prize winners or outstanding athletes.

The move raised many eyebrows as Melania was then a model, not typically considered an "extraordinary ability" category. In 2006, she became a US citizen, making her the first naturalized First Lady in American history.

The controversial jacket, tennis pavilion renovations, and kidney tumor

In 2018, she sparked outrage when she visited migrant children at a Texas detention center wearing a jacket emblazoned with the words "I really don't care, do U?" In 2020, she renovated the White House tennis pavilion during the COVID-19 pandemic, drawing criticism for the timing. During protests following George Floyd's death, she wore a black dress, generating theories about the message she was trying to convey. In 2018, she underwent surgery to remove a benign growth from one of her kidneys.

The prenup

Before her wedding, Melania signed an extensive prenuptial agreement that, according to reports, was updated after Barron's birth to secure his inheritance rights. The agreement ensured Melania would remain "financially comfortable" regardless of future family tensions.

In 2017, she delayed her and Barron's move to the White House after Trump's presidential election, claiming she wanted to stay in New York with Barron until his school year ended, but according to reports, there was another reason: according to The Washington Post journalist Mary Jordan's book, Melania was in the midst of renegotiating her prenuptial agreement with Trump, conditioning the move on ensuring Barron's future status would be equal to his other children.

Former President Donald Trump made an ambitious pledge to win New York state while headlining a packed Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday, drawing 20,000 supporters for a marathon five-hour event that featured controversial moments and surprise appearances, according to the Daily Mail.

The rally, held just nine days before the 2024 election, marked Trump's return to his home city and included an unexpected campaign appearance by former First Lady Melania Trump, who introduced her husband as "the next commander-in-chief."

"We want to win our country, but we also want to win New York and make it safe and strong and beautiful and affordable and vibrant again," Trump told the energetic crowd. "When I left, New York was the place you wanted to be, and now people just don't speak well of it. But we're going to bring it back. And we're going to bring it back strong."

The 78-year-old former president was joined by a lineup of high-profile supporters, including Elon Musk, Dr. Phil, Tucker Carlson, and UFC figures Dana White and Hulk Hogan. However, the event was not without controversy.

Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe sparked backlash by calling Puerto Rico a "floating pile of garbage," which drew condemnation from several Latino celebrities. A Trump campaign spokesperson later distanced the campaign from the comments, stating: "This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign."

Trump's childhood friend David Rem delivered a fiery speech while waving a crucifix, making inflammatory comments about Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her "the devil" and "the antichrist." Businessman Grant Cardone said Harris "and her pimp handlers will destroy our country."

Republican leaders expressed optimism about Trump's chances in New York despite the state having voted Democratic in every presidential election since 1988. GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik claimed Trump had "been talking about for years" about holding a rally at Madison Square Garden. The former president's son, Donald Trump Jr., declared to the crowd: "The king of New York is back to reclaim the city that he built."

Radio persona Sid Rosenberg said, "I just got back from Israel about two weeks ago. They love Trump in Israel. Just you know, they love him." He added, "I get back and they go, 'Sid, you want to speak at this MSG thing?' I go, 'Sure – out of character for me to speak at a Nazi rally. I was just in Israel.' But I took the gig." His reference to the rally being Nazi comes in response to Democrats accusing Trump of being similar to the Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.

Former President Donald Trump has enthusiastically endorsed a new book by his wife in a social media post on X. The book, simply titled "MELANIA," promises to offer readers an intimate look at the Former First Lady Melania Trump's experiences in the White House and beyond.

In his characteristic style, Trump urged his followers to preorder the book on Amazon, writing, "If you love our former First Lady as much as me, and are ready for the Truth, buy her new book now!"

According to Trump's post, the book covers a wide range of topics, offering "an insightful perspective" on Melania's tenure as First Lady of the United States. Readers can expect to find details about the Trump family's shared experiences during their time in office. The book also delves into Melania's "entrepreneurial achievements" and "the challenges and triumphs she experienced since her childhood in Europe."

This publication marks Melania Trump's first major public project since leaving the White House in January 2021. The release of "MELANIA" could signal her desire to shape her own narrative and legacy as a former First Lady. This role has historically been scrutinized and analyzed long after a presidential term ends.
