In an era where conventional thinking regarding peace in the Middle East has often led to stagnation and endless cycles of conflict, President Donald J. Trump once again proves why he is a transformative leader.

During a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Trump announced that the United States will be taking over Gaza – a historic declaration that could redefine the future of the Middle East. This bold move is not merely another headline; it is a strategic masterstroke grounded in the same innovative thinking that brought us the Abraham Accords.

When President Trump first floated the idea of brokering peace between Israel and its Arab neighbors, the global elite scoffed. Diplomats, academics, and so-called Middle East experts dismissed him as naive, claiming that peace was unattainable without endless concessions and compromises.

Yet, against all odds, Trump delivered. The Abraham Accords normalized relations between Israel and several Arab nations, ushering in a new era of economic cooperation, cultural exchange, and diplomatic harmony. The critics were wrong then, and they will be wrong again.

President Trump's proposal to take over Gaza is the ultimate game changer. For decades, Gaza has been a breeding ground for terrorism, instability, and human suffering. The ruling Hamas regime has exploited its own people, using them as pawns in a perpetual war against Israel. Every attempt at ceasefire or diplomatic negotiation has crumbled under the weight of Hamas' fanaticism. The status quo has only perpetuated misery and insecurity for both Palestinians and Israelis.

US President Donald Trump (R) meets with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, DC, on February 4, 2025 (AFP / Andrew Caballero-Reynolds)

Enter President Trump. By proposing a US takeover in Gaza, Trump is cutting through the diplomatic red tape that has paralyzed the region for years. This is not an "occupation"; it is a liberation – an opportunity to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure, restore law and order, and create the conditions necessary for genuine peace and prosperity. Under American oversight, Gaza can finally break free from the grip of extremism and corruption.

Trump's approach is revolutionary because it recognizes a fundamental truth that the global community has long ignored: Peace is not achieved through appeasement, but through strength and decisive action. Just as the Abraham Accords bypassed the failed paradigms of the past, this new initiative bypasses the ineffectual mechanisms of international diplomacy that have only enabled chaos.

Critics will inevitably raise concerns about the complexities of governance, the potential for backlash, and the risks involved. But President Trump has never been deterred by challenges. His track record speaks for itself. Whether it was moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem, recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, or withdrawing from the flawed Iran nuclear deal, Trump has consistently demonstrated the courage to make tough decisions – decisions that others feared to even consider.

Moreover, American involvement in Gaza will provide a stabilizing force unmatched by any other nation or international body. The US military and administrative capabilities are unparalleled, and our presence will deter malign actors from exploiting the situation. This is not about nation-building; it is about creating a secure environment where Israelis can finally live without the shadow of terrorism looming over them.

Imagine a southern Israel where children can go to school without fear of rockets, where businesses can flourish without the threat of destruction, and where communities can rebuild with the support of the world's most powerful nation. This vision is not a fantasy; it is within reach, thanks to President Trump's leadership.

Furthermore, this bold move will send a clear message to the Islamic Republic of Iran and other state sponsors of terror: the era of strategic patience and empty diplomacy is over. The United States, under Trump's guidance, will take decisive action to protect its allies and promote stability. This will not only benefit Israel but also serve as a deterrent to those who seek to destabilize the region.

President Trump's announcement is a testament to his unparalleled ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo. It is a reminder that true leadership requires vision, courage, and the willingness to defy conventional wisdom. While critics will undoubtedly voice their opposition, history will remember this moment as the beginning of a new chapter in the Middle East – one defined by peace, security, and hope.

President Trump's proposal to take over Gaza is not just a policy decision; it is a historic declaration of intent to end the cycle of violence that has plagued the region for far too long.

Just as the Abraham Accords reshaped the geopolitical landscape, this initiative has the potential to do the same. Once again, Trump proves that he is not just a leader – he is a game changer and the ultimate peacemaker!

Last week, I had the honor and privilege to visit Israel on an organized solidarity mission hosted by the World Zionist Organization and Chairman Yaakov Hagoel. On Day Two, we traveled to Okafim to meet with the Israeli police officer who saved countless lives and meet with families who survived the onslaught by Hamas.

We heard his testimony of how he threw himself on top of bodies in hopes of shielding them from the bullets by Hamas and how his resiliency and calmness under pressure resulted in saving the lives of many of his friends and killing Hamas terrorists.

Then we boarded the buses towards Kfar Aza to bear witness to the atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists on October 7th. As we walked through the Kibbutz, there wasn't a dry eye in our group as we bore witness to the destruction caused by Hamas. Houses burned to the ground while other houses were covered with bullet holes on the inside and outside.

The Israeli spokesperson giving us the tour told us that the red circles on the houses designated these were the homes where dead bodies were found inside. As we walked down one of the roads, with houses on either side, probably around 15 houses, every single house had a red circle.

Walking inside of the houses was surreal to see the bullet holes and grenade shrapnel in the walls knowing all too well that the kitchen I was standing on was where dead Israeli bodies were lying just three months ago. Outside of the homes, some of the families have put up banners with pictures of their loved ones who were murdered.

During our visit to Kfar Aza, we also met with senior members of the IDF who were part of the first responders on the scene. Their testimony about what they saw when they arrived was something I've never experienced before. To watch such strong men and women cry as they told us about the carnage they saw was something I will never forget.

After our tour at Kfar Aza, our next stop was to the site of the Nova Music Festival at Kibbutz Re'im.

There I was, standing on the ground where 364 Jews were killed, hundreds more injured as Israeli fighter jets screeched across the sky and Apache helicopter gunships hovered overhead at 1,000 feet.

While we sang Hativakh and locked arms with our Israeli brothers and sisters, we could hear machine gun fire in Northern Gaza and the IDF firing artillery shells every 30 seconds. We were in the middle of a war zone. Hamas could have launched rockets at us at any moment but we weren't scared - we were empowered.

While we sang Hatikvah, which means "Hope" in Hebrew, I was overcome with emotions as I stood on the land where hundreds of Jews were butchered and raped alive and dead for one reason only – they were Jews.

That was the only "crime" they committed - being a Jew. The bloodthirst from Hamas on that day is like nothing ever replicated in the world. They cut off body parts of Israelis. They raped Israeli women in front of their friends. They burned bodies alive.

And when they were done killing and raping, they took hostages and in all likelihood, the raping didn't end in Re'Im.

While Day two of the mission was filled with heartbreak, tears, and unanswered questions about how this could have ever happened in the first place, it was also filled with "Hatikvah", a hope for a better tomorrow.

Throughout our solidarity mission, the Israeli people and MKs that I met from the left and the right told me that national unity and defeating Hamas were the only things that mattered to them. Internal politics were a distant thought and survival as a Jewish state was the only thing that matters right now.

While there was hope from the Israelis I met with, they are also still stuck on October 7 like almost being trapped in time. While it's some 90 days later for many of us in the Diaspora, for Israelis, they are stuck in time in disbelief, sadness, anger, and frustration.

In closing, I can say with confidence that I know the Israeli people will dance again and they can count on me and millions of Jews in the diaspora to stand by their side as they dance once again.

The spirit of the Jewish people has taken a lot of hits over the years but we always come together to fight for our future and that is exactly what we will do again. We will all dance again. Am Yisrael Chai.

Later this week, I am traveling to Israel on a solidarity mission with a large group of Jewish Americans to stand with the people and land of Israel. During the visit, I will be asking every Israeli I meet if they think peace with the Palestinians is possible. I have my own ideas and views on this but I want to hear directly from the Israeli people on this as well especially after the Oct. 7 massacre.

Follow Israel Hayom on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

In the labyrinth of the so called Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the prospect of a two-state solution has long been a subject of fervent debate but I've never understood why this is the case to be honest.

Despite the persistent efforts of diplomats and peace advocates on the political left in Israel, America and around the world, we on the political right understand that there will never be a two state solution for two reasons: 1) The Israeli people are the only ones with a biblical claim to the land and 2) Israel has never and will never have a true partner for peace.

I like to look at issues through the lens of reality and when one does that, it's very easy to see that there will never be a two-state solution and nor should there ever be. There is one state or country and it's called Israel.

There is only one country that holds open and fair elections. There is only one society who glorifies life instead of martyrdom. There is only one side that believes in freedom and equality for all while the other side believes in the total opposite.

Israel is on the right side of humanity while their 'partners for peace' in Gaza and Ramallah stand firmly against Israel's right to exist and overwhelmingly support the slaughter of innocent men, women, children and the elderly.

In the aftermath of the October 7th massacre in Israel, a poll was done asking Palestinians who live in Gaza if they supported Hamas killing, beheading, and raping Israelis. Not shockingly to me, 72% of the respondents said they supported what Hamas did.

Taking into account all the peace initiatives proposed to end the "conflict" between the Jews and the Palestinians over the last 83 years, we must finally acknowledge the reality that the Palestinians – or at least their leaders – do not want to establish their own state because they have rejected every single offer Israel has made and they do not want peace with the Israelis.

Case in point - in August 2005, the government of Israel, headed by PM Ariel Sharon, carried out the unilateral evacuation of all Israeli villages from the Gaza Strip. Thousands of Israelis were uprooted and relocated to other parts of the country in what many consider the ultimate olive branch for peace.

In response, the Palestinians elected Hamas to serve as their political leadership in 2007 and they have been launching missiles and rockets on Israeli towns and villages from the Gaza Strip ever since.

This is a prime example of the efforts the Israeli government has made to achieve lasting peace only to have the other side spit in their face and murder thousands of Israelis.

So let us be clear on this – Israel has never and will never have a partner for peace with Hamas in Gaza or the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank.

There is one state, Israel, and when we start dealing in those realities, securing the future of Israel will become much easier.

As has been said many times, the Palestinians never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. I don't believe they should be afforded any more opportunities. We've seen how that will play out.

It's time for the political left in Israel, America and around the world to stop chasing the fantasy of a two-state solution immediately. Their push towards a two-state solution has resulted in the bloodiest day in Israel's history. I say again, there is only one state and it's called Israel.

In recent years, the relationship between the United States and Israel has faced numerous challenges, with a growing divergence of opinions between the two nations. It is concerning to observe how President Joe Biden and many Democrats continue to criticize Israel, undermining a historically strong alliance. This criticism often fails to take into account the complex geopolitical realities in the Middle East and the genuine security concerns of the Israeli people.

Follow Israel Hayom on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

The latest instance of this troubling trend is the reaction to the US-brokered normalization agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia. Rather than celebrating this as a significant step toward peace and stability in the region, some Democrats in the Senate have expressed criticism and reservations.

First and foremost, it's essential to recognize that Israel has consistently been a key US ally in a volatile region. The alliance between these two nations is rooted in shared values of democracy, freedom, and human rights. Israel is not only a strategic partner but also a beacon of stability in the Middle East. Thus, any attempt to undermine this relationship should raise serious concerns.

One must question the motivations behind this criticism that was also prevalent during President Barack Obama's eight years in the White House. It appears that some Democrats are prioritizing their political agendas over the enduring partnership between the US and Israel. This is evident in their reluctance to wholeheartedly support the recent normalization deal with Saudi Arabia, a move that should be lauded as a historic step toward regional stability.

Furthermore, it is essential to remember that Israel has legitimate security concerns that are often overshadowed by political rhetoric. The country faces constant threats from terrorist organizations and hostile neighbors 24 hours a day. It is entirely reasonable for Israel to take measures to ensure the safety of its citizens, including maintaining control over key strategic areas such as the Golan Heights in Judea and Samaria.

The criticism directed at Israel fails to acknowledge the complexities of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the unique challenges the nation faces. While a peaceful resolution to this long-standing conflict is undoubtedly desirable, it cannot be achieved through one-sided condemnation of Israel. Instead, both parties must be willing to come to the table and negotiate in good faith. Israel has shown time and time again they are willing to come to the table but the Palestinian Authority and Hamas have refused because that means they would have to recognize Israel as a sovereign nation.

Critics should also be reminded that Israel has made significant concessions for peace in the past, often met with resistance and violence from its adversaries. The path to lasting peace requires compromise and a willingness to engage in constructive dialogue, not unilateral condemnations.

The continued criticism of Israel by Biden and some Democrats is cause for major concern. It risks undermining a vital alliance in the Middle East and neglects the genuine security concerns of the Israeli people.

It is time for Biden and members of his political party to prioritize the enduring partnership between the United States and Israel, recognizing the complexities of the region and working together to promote peace and stability instead of constantly sabotaging and criticizing America's oldest and most trusted ally, the State of Israel.

As a platform intended to promote international cooperation, peace and human rights, the United Nations bears significant responsibility. However, to those who closely follow the organization, it is clear that the UN has a consistent bias against Israel that undermines its credibility and ability to foster global harmony.

Follow Israel Hayom on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

This bias was thrust into the spotlight once again on Sept. 20 when Israel's Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan peacefully protested a speech by Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi. During the speech, Erdan held up a picture of Mahsa Amini, an innocent Iranian woman murdered by Iran's "morality police" for allegedly wearing a hijab improperly. Amini's death set off a wave of protests against Raisi's theocratic regime.

After Erdan's protest, he attempted to leave the hall. The UN Police promptly put their hands on him and physically escorted him out. The UN should be ashamed of itself.

This appalling event is a teachable moment, an opportunity to revisit the UN's record of open hostility towards Israel.

First, there is the UN's disproportionate focus on Israel's actions compared to those of other nations. The UN's obsession with passing resolutions condemning Israel, often by an overwhelming majority, while turning a blind eye to other nations with far more egregious records, is deeply troubling. While criticism of Israel is certainly valid when warranted, the disproportionate attention it receives suggests a political agenda at work.

The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is a notorious example of such bias. Since its inception, the UNHRC has adopted more resolutions condemning Israel than any other country in the world. At the same time, critics have pointed out that the UNHRC has failed to adequately address severe human rights violations in countries such as China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea. This inconsistency raises questions about the UN's commitment to impartiality and its ability to address global human rights abuses effectively.

Another issue is the UN's tendency to label Israeli self-defense as aggression. Israel, like any sovereign nation, has the right to defend itself from threats and attacks. The UN's failure to acknowledge the complex security challenges facing Israel, including constant terrorist threats from groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, is a glaring omission that undermines the organization's credibility.

It's important to note that criticism of the UN's treatment of Israel is not an attempt to shield Israel from accountability. Israel, like any other nation, should be held responsible for its actions when and if they violate international law or human rights standards. However, the UN's approach must be consistent and fair, applying the same standards to all member states.

The UN's appalling treatment of Ambassador Erdan will go down in the history books as the latest chapter in the organization's long history of obvious bias against the world's only Jewish state.

President Joe Biden's recent visit to Saudi Arabia was an epic failure for many reasons. Not only did Biden fail to secure any relief at the pump for the American people, but he also emboldened the Islamic Republic of Iran. As a result, Iran threatened the world with its alleged capacity to build nuclear weapons and Russian President Vladimir Putin rushed into the arms of Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Follow Israel Hayom on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

The newly formed Russia-China-Iran alliance is a major threat to America and our allies in the Middle East, in particular because of the nature and behavior of the Iranian regime.

It is important, however, to note that there is a difference between the Iranian people and the terrorist regime that has ruled them since 1979. The Iranian people want liberty, religious freedom and peace with their neighbors. The regime, by contrast, seeks to spread its radical version of Islam throughout the country and the world.

In service of this goal, the regime arrests and imprisons those who seek to express their religious beliefs; routinely declares "Death to America" and "Death to Israel"; and leads the world in funding and supporting terrorist groups such as Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis.

Even though the Iranian regime has caused harm to Americans since its inception, many Americans do not appreciate the magnitude of the threat, and the threat is considerable.

First, Iran is the leading state sponsor of global terrorism. Ever since it seized power in 1979, the regime has sought to impose its version of Islamic tyranny on others through bloody terrorist campaigns. These campaigns have often specifically targeted Americans. Iran's brutal Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its extra-territorial unit the Quds Force are responsible for the deaths of 603 American soldiers in Iraq, 241 American service members in a Marine barracks suicide attack in Beirut, 19 American troops in the Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia and many others.

It is estimated that Iran has planned and executed terrorist plots, assassinations and attacks in more than 35 countries worldwide, and the regime provides a safe haven for Al-Qaeda.

The regime's human rights record is also abysmal. In November 2019, the Iranian people took to the streets across the country to protest the ruling regime's corruption and gross indifference to their welfare. Khamenei ordered his minions to do "whatever it takes" to put down the protests. They did, killing 1,500 demonstrators, including at least 17 teenagers and about 400 women. My organization, Iranian Americans for Liberty, was proud to support the late Congressman Jim Hagedorn's House Resolution 800, which recognized this atrocity. Sadly, not a single Democrat signed on.

Since 1979, several thousand Iranians have been executed for homosexuality. They have been hanged from cranes, thrown off cliffs and stoned to death. Over the last few years, champion wrestler Navid Afkari was tortured and hanged; Nasrin Sotoudeh, a human rights lawyer, was sentenced to 38 years in prison and 148 lashes; and six environmentalists were imprisoned for up to 10 years for "collaborating with the enemy state of the United States."

Subscribe to Israel Hayom's daily newsletter and never miss our top stories!

In 2020, Iran executed at least 246 people – more than any other country except China – for "crimes" like "insulting the prophet" and "spreading corruption on Earth." Iran is also among the world's foremost executioners of minors.

Taking all this into consideration, it is worth asking how, exactly, the American people benefit from our government's decision to engage in diplomacy with a regime that desires the demise of our nation and Israel, our strongest ally in the Middle East, and expresses this desire on a regular basis; leads the world in funding terrorist groups to the tune of over $1 billion a year; has the blood of American soldiers on its hands; and murders, censors and oppresses its own people for speaking out against it.

The only answer to this question is: The American people do not benefit in the least. As such, it is imperative for the American people to ask their representatives and leaders in Washington this question and, when they can't answer with a straight face, demand they publicly call out the Islamic Republic of Iran for the terrorist thug that it is.

As reported by the Twitter account of the BDS Report, individuals are shown marching through the streets of NYC waving Palestinian flags and yes, Hezbollah flags. Let me be clear: Any individual or American who supports Hezbollah has no business being an American or living in this country. Hezbollah is a terrorist organization that has murdered hundreds of Americans.

Hezbollah is an Iranian Regime proxy in Lebanon and a Foreign Terrorist Organization as designated by the US Department of State. They have also been labeled as a Terrorist Organization by Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Argentina, Honduras, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Kuwait). They are directly and indirectly responsible for the savage murders of Americans, Christians, and Jews around the world.

Follow Israel Hayom on Facebook and Twitter

Here is a quick primer on Hezbollah;

Hezbollah was founded in 1982 by Iran's Revolutionary Guards as a Shiite Islamist political party and militant group based in Lebanon. They are the most powerful terrorist group in Lebanon due to their heavily armed militia. Much of these arms and the training that came with these arms points directly to the Iranian regime. Hezbollah is both a political movement and a fully functioning army.

It's been estimated by US Officials that Hezbollah receives as much as $700 Million per year from the Iranian regime. Hezbollah has also received Iranian-supplied weaponry, including reportedly 11,500 missiles already in place in southern Lebanon pointed at Israel. Roughly 3,000 Hezbollah military operatives have reportedly undergone training in Iran, which included guerrilla warfare, firing missiles, and rocket training.

In 1982, they organized a suicide bomber attack in Beruit against the US Marine Corps and French military barracks that left 241 Americans and 58 Frenchmen dead.

In 1994, there was a deadly bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, Argentina that left 85 Jews dead, murdered in cold blood. In 1992, 29 people were killed in an attack on the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires.  Hezbollah and Iran were responsible for these attacks.

That's a quick primer on Hezbollah.

No matter what your political leaning is, I hope we can all agree that Hezbollah is a horrible organization that should be dismantled at any cost. It is a terrorist organization that seeks to destroy America, the Jewish State of Israel, and to exterminate every Jew and Christian who lives inside Israel.

If individuals wish to wave Hezbollah flags in America, they can leave my country. They can relocate to Lebanon and they will see first hand how Hezbollah has destroyed a once vibrant country. I am all for freedom of speech and diversity of opinions but I refuse to accept the promotion and vindication of Hezbollah on American streets.

I would like to see elected leaders who represent New York City and the State of New York call this out instead of ignoring it. I would like to see Jewish leaders throughout America use their powerful voices and platforms to call this out instead of ignoring it.

We cannot ignore Hezbollah flags on the streets of NYC. We cannot let the chants of "Death to America" and "Death to Israel" run rampant in American society.

We decided to co-write this piece together after the recent course of events and the aftermath that ensued from a Jewish celebrity using their platform to spread information that harms the Jewish people in America and around the world. I'm a rising Junior at Columbia (Romy) and I'm a Jewish and Pro-Israel Activist, recently elected Chairman of HaShevet, a Jewish Watchdog and Next Generation Leadership Incubator (Bryan).

The individual we are referring to is Canadian-born Jew Seth Rogen. Seth explicitly shared his anti-Israel views on Marc Maron's podcast when he stated that Israel "makes no sense," because, in his words, "you don't keep something you're trying to preserve all in one place."

Follow Israel Hayom on Facebook and Twitter

He went on to say that Jews should "spread out" around the world instead of "putting all your Jews in one basket." Once he said that, we started thinking about how Jews like Seth are accidentally perpetrating anti-Semitic stereotypes, and they don't even know it or do they and simply don't care about the damage they create?

One of those stereotypes is "the Jewish nose." Almost every American Jew talks about being mocked for it. On Tik Tok, there are thousands of viral videos about Jewish women "getting rid of their Jewish nose." To make matters worse, some Jewish families have traditions wherein every woman gets a nose job on their 18th birthday in order to "fix" their face. It's known, and seen, as "honorable" that Barbara Stresiand is one of the only Jewish actors to keep her nose as is. The idea of the "Jewish nose" is a myth. It's a myth that is used as a tool used to spread antisemitism. So why are American Jews using it in their rhetoric?

Another stereotype is the term JAP (Jewish American Princess). To be a "JAP," you have to be rich, spoiled, bratty, basic, and ultimately unintellectual. Why are so many American Jews calling themselves "JAPS" as if it's positive? Why are we letting everyone in society feel free to accept this? The connotations this term bears are detrimental to the Jewish community, and we're blind to it until we're targeted by the outside.

One of the stereotypes that hits close to home for Romy is when Seth Rogen said "I haven't gotten along with an Israeli in a long time." This type of rhetoric gives the non-Jewish community an excuse to perpetuate a stereotype that comes with the land of Israel, Israelis, and Jews who need a home.

Honestly, American Jews should not be so quick to make snide generalizations about Israelis because at the end of the day it's more harmful to Jews in America than Israelis. Although no Jew should be expected to blindly support the Israeli government or the politics linked to it, being rude about the Israeli people, the people who make up the nation (Jews and non-Jews) who need and have a homeland, is giving validity to the antisemitism we face daily.

For Romy, she has had an easier time talking about her Israeli identity to non-Jewish friends than Jewish ones. Romy went to an International school and, there, they were taught acceptance and open-mindedness. Romy's closest friends are from all over the world. They listen to each other and understand what it means to be a dual citizen being tethered between two homes at once, culturally. This is not to say that Romy doesn't have Jewish-American friends, but they are more focused on the Jewish connection and less comfortable talking about Israel, owing to the current political circumstances. But at what cost?

We believe it's difficult to fathom that one cannot excuse extreme, deep-rooted anti-Zionism because others don't understand that it is antisemitism. A lot of American Jews do not feel it is their place to educate others even though they know it's going to lead to antisemitism. There is no reason to be shy about educating non-Jewish friends or to publicize personal thoughts on social media. The more we appease and cower to ideals that are not our own, the more the impending oppression will grow. All of us have a voice and we need to amplify our voices to speak out against all forms of antisemitism and anti-Zionism!

We need to support Israel, Zionism and must be committed to combating all forms of anti-Semitism just as the generations that came before us spent their entire lives doing. Most importantly, we want to implore anyone reading this to practice self-care so that they can truly be there for other communities. Without bettering ourselves and our community, we will never be able to fully commit to helping those in need.

Romy doesn't want you to forget to "be Israeli," be bold when defending Jews, be audacious and spicy and powerful. Don't fear the simple right of loving your own. Bryan wants us to do a better job of being proud of who we are and in dispelling the antisemitic myths and stereotypes.

Over the last 70 years, the Jewish people have been accused of inflating the number of our people who were murdered by Nazi Germany during the Holocaust.

Israel has been attacked and is still under attack from those same Holocaust deniers who wish to destroy the State of Israel.

I suspect that one of the main reasons for this has to do with the general lack of knowledge the non-Jewish world has regarding the Holocaust, Zionism and Israel.

Their knowledge of our community has been rapidly diminishing over the decades as we found out from the Claims Conference Study in 2018.

We know that while 93% of Americans support the expansion of Holocaust education, many of them have zero to little knowledge as it is. Many have never visited a Holocaust museum – 80% have never stepped foot inside one of our museums. That's a problem.

In addition, we know that over 66% of American millennials don't know about Auschwitz and the vast majority cannot name a single concentration camp. One of the most popular social media companies for the millennial demographic is Tik Tok.

On Tik Tok's platform, teenage users have been uploading anti-Israel, anti-Jewish and Holocaust-denial videos on what seems to be an hourly basis.

Should any of us be surprised that anti-Semitism is running rampant on Tik Tok's platform? In an April column, I called for greater oversight and accountability from social media giants.

We as a nation are failing when it comes to increasing Holocaust education! Only 18 states have added Holocaust education to their mandated and suggested curriculum. Why doesn't every state in our nation mandate or suggest Holocaust education in their curriculum?

With Jew-hatred on the rise, I have long advocated that a big reason for the rise is due to a lack of knowledge and general understanding regarding the Holocaust.

While the federal government cannot force states to support Holocaust Education, it did just make it easier.

Recently, President Donald J. Trump delivered another strong showing of his unwavering support for the Jewish people by signing into law the Never Again Education Act.

The bill would dedicate funding for Holocaust education programs and create regional workshops to assist middle- and high-school teachers with incorporating Holocaust education into their curriculum.

The bill has $10M over 5 years earmarked for this education.

This president has never wavered in his support for the Jewish community in America and the state of Israel. He has consistently demonstrated his unwavering support for our people, our values, and our ancestral homeland.

With yesterday's action, President Trump signed into law a bill that will use the federal government's vast resources to help increase Holocaust Education. Thank you Mr. President.

We still have a long way to go in reducing anti-Semitism and increasing knowledge about Israel and the Holocaust. A long way indeed.

The bold action by President Trump, the tireless work by a bipartisan group of elected officials and countless organizations and individuals, should give us a glimmer of hope that the future of the Jewish people is strong. Let's get to work.

Earlier this month, the New York Police Department reported that hate crimes in New York City surged 68% from 2018 to 2019. Of the 184 hate crimes reported, 60% targeted Jews. In New York and all around the country, Jews are under attack. The monsters that come to kill us and draw swastikas on our playgrounds, schools and community centers have a unified approach, but we as Jews don't have a unified message against anti-Semitism.

That needs to change.

On Sunday, The Jerusalem Post held its 2019 Annual Conference in Manhattan, and one of the first speakers of the day was Ronald S. Lauder, president of the World Jewish Congress. During his speech, he called on the Jewish Diaspora to unite as one in the fight against anti-Semitism.

"We are one people; I don't care if you are on the Right or on the Left, Sephardi or Ashkenazi. If you are Jewish, I want you to be free," he said, adding that the Jewish people "must step up and act as one."

I want to take this opportunity to say that I, Bryan E. Leib, fully support Lauder's call for unity. We must unite as Jewish-Americans in the fight against anti-Semitism, the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement and the toxic anti-Israel climate on college campuses around the country.

It doesn't matter if you're a Democrat or a Republican, an observant Jew or a secular Jew. We must come together as one people! When those with hatred in their hearts toward Jews walk into a synagogue to murder us, they don't care about our age, our political beliefs or our religious beliefs. They are coming after us because we are Jews. It's that simple.

With that said, it should be "that simple" for us as Jewish Americans to unite together with one voice to condemn anti-Semitism. We must come together to fight for our people, our birthright and our future here in America, in Israel and throughout the world.

We must unite together so that the memory of the 6 million Jews we lost in the Holocaust never fades from history. We must act to secure the future in the face of rising anti-Semitism. With strength and unity, we must act to fight this hatred wherever it rears its ugly head. We must push back against elected officials who think that it's appropriate to loosely use terms like "concentration camps" and "Never Again."

We must condemn those who choose to question the dual loyalty of Israeli-Americans and Jewish-Americans, but not people of any other heritage in America. Why aren't Italian-Americans, Irish-Americans and Chinese-Americans accused of having dual loyalty?

We must condemn those who openly advocate for boycotts against the State of Israel. In that same breadth, we should also declare that BDS has failed in its mission to destroy Israel. However, the movement is gaining ground on college campuses around the country.

We must come together with one voice to loudly proclaim that anti-Semitism has no place in America. I am proud to personally support Lauder's statement, and I urge my friends and colleagues, along with community leaders and elected officials around the country to do the same. It's imperative that we unite before it's too late.
