The Israel Police over the weekend assigned a security detail to Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan after his home was featured in a Hamas propaganda video.
The video, posted on the social media channels of the terrorist group that rules the Gaza Strip, used footage originally taken by an Israeli drone of Shavei Shomron, a Jewish community west of Nablus.
The video marked what Hamas deemed "quality targets": Dagan's home, the community rabbi's home, the Shavei Shomron synagogue, and the local clinic.
As it was not the first time Palestinian terrorist groups have threatened Dagan, the police decided to increase security near his home, including installing security cameras, and Dagan and his family were assigned a security detail.
"I am no different than any other Israeli citizen. We are Israelis, we are faithful Jews, and we are determined. Threats and intimidation will not break us," Dagan told Israel Hayom.
"I have faith in the police and security forces and will coordinate my steps with them."
