The IDF published on Tuesday a report of its activity on behalf of Israel's vulnerable civilian population during the nation's battle against the coronavirus epidemic, and the numbers are impressive.
Last week, IDF soldiers packed over 1.6 million food parcels for Passover and the rest of the week. On Tuesday, a total of 118,635 food parcels were delivered nationwide, some 15,000 of which were distributed in the quarantined ultra-Orthodox city of Bnei Brak.

The food parcels include dry foodstuffs, fruit and vegetables, and toilet paper.
A total of 18,000 IDF soldiers and officers have joined the country's effort to contain coronavirus. The Education Corps is operating about 40 educational frameworks for children of medical workers, and the army aims to open another 20 during the week of Passover.
On Tuesday, the Home Front Command fielded approximately 8,000 calls. The national emergency center handled some 25,000 calls.
The IDF has also opened 12 treatment facilities for COVID-19 patients. Eight will house confirmed light or minor cases, while four are destined to accommodate civilians in self-isolation but who have not been confirmed as positive for the virus. Four of the facilities are earmarked for the haredi population. As of Tuesday, the facilities were housing 1,044 patients and 578 people in isolation.
The IDF has also collected over 10,000 blood donations.
