Thus far, a total of 202 patients have died of COVID-19. Sunday night, an 89-year-old woman with pre-existing medical conditions succumbed to the disease at Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center in Bnei Brak.

The medical center put out a press release on Monday confirming the woman's death. The hospital is currently treating 37 COVID-19 patients, nine of whom are listed in serious condition, and six of those nine are on ventilators. An additional eight patients were listed in moderate condition, with the rest of the hospital's corona cases deemed light or minor.

As of Monday, 383 corona patients were hospitalized, 129 in serious condition, 79 in moderate condition, and 175 with light or minor cases. Another 1,775 were being treated at hotel facilities, with another 5,331 at home.

Nearly 7,000 (6,976) Israelis have made a full recovery from the virus.

Also on Monday, details were released about a senior nurse at Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer who died of COVID-19. Susie Levy, 66, had been a healthcare worker for over 40 years. Levy was the first healthcare worker in Israel to die of coronavirus.

The epidemiology study indicates that Levy did not contract the virus from a patient. Two weeks ago, her sister died of coronavirus, and Levy is believed to have contracted the virus from her.

"The family is pained and stunned at the premature death of Susie, who was the pillar of the family," her relatives said in a statement to the press.

Sheba Medical Center Director Dr. Yitshak Kreiss, said, "This is a painful moment for all of us. It's tough and painful and shocking to lose one of our people in the war on coronavirus. Susie symbolized the professionalism and devotion of medicine in general and Sheba in particular. Sheba bows its head in mourning."
