Public Security Minister Amir Ohana is set to name a new commissioner for the Israel Police, sources in his office said. He is expected to tap a candidate by the end of the month.
The national police force has been operating without an officially appointed commissioner since late 2018, when then-police chief Roni Alsheikh retired.
