Israel's largest food company, Tnuva, is planning to enter the meat substitute market and will partner with a British farm to do so, financial daily Globes reported Tuesday.
The Leeds-based Meatless Farm will reportedly supply Tnuva with plant-based hamburgers, sausages, and minced-meat.

The company has become a major player in the UK's meatless products market and has begun exporting its products to the US, Canada, Sweden, and other countries over the past year.
Demand for meat substitute products in Israel has been growing in recent years, driven by health and environmental concerns.
The move will position Tnuva opposite Israel's Diplomat, which imports meat substitute products produced by California-based Beyond Meat.
Israel is considered a leading player in the highly lucrative meat substitute market, particularly regarding plant-based culinary innovation and laboratory-grown meat, both of which are a growing part of Israel's thriving agritech sector.
