Only 37%, in contrast, say that the Democratic Party holds anti-Semitic views.

The survey, titled "The State of Antisemitism in America 2020: Survey of American Jews," was published just nine days before the US elections for the presidency.

The AJC is a non-partisan organization that releases annual surveys on the state of anti-Semitism in the US. This year's trend has been similar to that of 2019, as a staggering 88% of American Jews assess that anti-Semitism is "much of a problem" in the US today.

Around 43% responded that the status of Jews in the US is less secure than a year ago. Only 4% replied that their status is more secure – the rest answered that it hasn't changed.

In the aftermath of the Tree of Life synagogue shooting that left 11 people dead, 56% said that Jewish institutions they are affiliated with have increased their security measures.

While the difference in anti-Semitism attributed to the Republican and Democratic parties was large, the difference of anti-Semitism coming from the "extreme political right" and "extreme political left" was less apparent. Eighty-nine % thought that the former posed a threat of anti-Semitism while 61% assessed that the latter was similarly dangerous.
