Newly drafted Israeli NBA player Deni Avdija scored 7 points for the Washington Wizards in his debut performance in the NBA season.
The 19-year-old Israeli star also picked up four rebounds for the team, although it ultimately lost to the Philadelphia 76ers 107:113.
Abdija scored two three-pointers, and had an impressive show of assists and steals. Overall he played 28 minutes.
The Philadelphia and Washington teams were neck and neck, with the Wizards leading in the fourth quarter. But ultimately the host – which is considered one of the best in the east – got the upper hand.
Avdija's next game is on Saturday night, in the US capital.
