The US Food and Drug Administration has granted Israel's Inovytec 510(k) clearance to market and sell its Ventway Sparrow ventilators in the United States, Inovytec announced Tuesday.

The Ventway Sparrow transport and emergency ventilators are designed for mobility, high-performance and ease of use. They weigh only ~1 kg (2.2 pounds) and allow for both invasive and noninvasive ventilation for patients weighing above 5 kg (11 pounds).
The Ventway Sparrow is available in three different models to accommodate different needs and is in use on COVID-19 patients in Italy, Spain, the UK, South Africa, Russia and Israel. It has already been cleared for use in the US under FDA Emergency Use Authorization.
