A curious cat caused a major fire at a power plant in southern Iran, local media reported on Saturday.

According to reports, the feline got into the power plant on the island of Kharg and somehow caused a short circuit and a cable fire that eventually grew into a large blaze.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire, but the power plant had to shut down for several hours, leaving some 10,000 of the island's residents without electricity.
Unfortunately, the cat perished in the flames.
