At the time of the incident, Ben-Gvir was taking part in a broadcast that included Israel Hayom correspondent Akiva Bigman. A passer-by shouted, "You're a murderer, shame!"
Ben-Gvir answered, "I love the country, do you love the country?"
The incident intensified when one of the women shouted at Ben-Gvir: "You're a fascist, it's a shame they didn't finish you off in Auschwitz."
Ben-Gvir asked her to clarify her remark, and she repeated it, after which he said, "You're rude, a rude left-winger, you should be ashamed of making light of the Holocaust, the 6 million who were murdered."
