A Beersheba man arrived at Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba on Thursday after reportedly cutting off his own penis and flushing it down the toilet.

The patient told Magen David Adom paramedics that he had been suffering from untreated chronic pain "in the area."
After injuring himself, the man was found by his mother when she came to visit him. His mental state was under assessment.
Meanwhile, the Israel Police reached out to Mey Sheva, Beersheba's water and sewage management company on behalf of Magen David Adom, which wanted to locate the cut-off organ so it could be reattached.
Mey Sheva responded that it was not able to comply with the request.
