Iran's chief of staff arrived in Moscow on Monday morning, Russian and Iranian media reported.

Maj. Gen. Mohammed Bagheri is visiting the country at the official invitation of the Russian Defense Minister Gen. Sergei Shoigu. According to IRNA, several senior Iranian and Russian officials welcomed the Iranian general as he arrived at the Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow.
Bagheri is scheduled to meet with several top Russian officials to discuss "regional developments in the Gulf as well as joint defense and military relations, the fight against terrorism, and investigating regional and international changes."
