Assi Azar, one of the most prominent TV personas in Israel, was accused on Wednesday of having sexual misconduct by an Israeli actor. The actor, Yehuda Nahari, told the Israeli news portal Walla! that during an interview for Azar's show "Lehiyot Ita" about 10 years ago, Azar exposed himself.

According to Nahari, the interview was conducted at Azar's home, and after 30 minutes Azar allegedly asked him to come close so that he could get to know him better. Nahari then said that Azar proceeded to touch himself and told him that he was aroused by saying, "Look at what you are doing to me."

Azar allegedly even expose his genitalia to Nahari and made unwanted sexual advances despite Nahari rejecting him. According to Nahari, Azar also moved closer to the point that there he "attached himself to me" after Nahari walked away.

"Eventually, Azar realized that he would not get what he wanted and we continued to talk about the show," Nahari said.

Nahari eventually went to the police, according to Walla!, but due to the statute of limitation, the case was closed.

Azar dismissed the allegations, telling Walla!, "I met Yehuda more than 10 years ago in my apartment for a pleasant and friendly meeting and we even kissed. All the other claims that were made never happened."

Azar hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv alongside Lucy Ayoub, Erez Tal and Bar Refaeli.
