Two Israel Defense Forces soldiers were injured in an apparent training accident near Jerusalem after some form of ordinance exploded.

According to initial reports, first responders treated one soldier for moderate wounds and another for minor injuries at the base. Both were subsequently evacuated to a nearby hospital.
The accident comes just days after two elite commando troops were killed by friendly fire in the Jordan Valley after being mistaken for terrorists. Earlier this month two pilots were killed near Haifa when their helicopter malfunctioned and hit the water.
Two separate committees of inquiries were formed in the wake of the first two accidents.
