US President Joe Biden will meet with both Israel's caretaker Prime Minister Yair Lapid and Opposition Leader Benjamin Netanyahu during the American leader's upcoming visit to Israel, Israeli media reported Saturday, citing unnamed US officials.

Biden will travel from July 13 to 16 to Israel, the West Bank and to a regional meeting in Saudi Arabia.
The US leader shares a checkered history with Netanyahu, part of the latter's famously fractured relationship with former US President Barack Obama, during whose terms Biden served as vice president.
