A Palestinian terrorist was shot Wednesday morning after ramming into an IDF soldier at a checkpoint near Jerusalem, and then exiting his vehicle with a hammer and proceeding to attempt to attack the fighter.

Despite his serious injuries, the officer managed to neutralize the attacker. The fighter was taken to the Shaare Zedek hospital in Jerusalem and was put in an induced coma and after testing will be transferred to an operating room.
The checkpoint is located near the Beit Horon Jewish settlement and is often used by Palestinians.
