The military stronghold served as the training ground for Hamas Jabalia Battalion's preparations for terrorist actions. It includes training facilities for shooting and a network of terrorist tunnels, which are used, among other things, for the terrorists' passage to the coast. The site was also replete with arms.

During the combat, the forces engaged in battles with terrorists and eliminated many of them. Aircraft also eliminated other terrorists. Forces on the ground located and destroyed tunnel openings, weapon systems, and military equipment. In addition, fighters in the area discovered intelligence material.
