CNN host John Vause became tearful on air on Tuesday while reading a letter on air from the mother of Israeli captive Noa Argamani, Liora Argamani to President Joe Biden. "I am terminally ill with Stage 4 brain cancer. All that's running through my mind before I part ways with my family forever is the chance to hug my daughter, my only child, one last time." She further wrote, "I want to get to see my Noa at home."

In the emotional letter, Liora wrote: "It's Christmas now, and I would like to request from you, Mr. President, as a present, to see my daughter again before I leave this world." The broadcast continued with footage of Noa Argamani's kidnapping. In the clip, which has become one of the symbols of the war, Noa can be seen surrounded by terrorists and crying out to her partner Avinatan Or, who was also kidnapped to Gaza.

Noa Argamani was kidnapped to Gaza from the nature rave near Kibbutz Re'eim on October 7, during the Hamas assault on Israel in which some 1,200 were murdered.
