Sergeant Omer Sarah Benjo, 20, from the agricultural co-op Ge'a near Ashkelon, who served in the Combat Intelligence Corpos in the 869th Battalion of the Galilee Division was killed Wednesday as a result of a rocket launch to the north of the country.

The rocket attack in the Safed area also hit an IDF base, and IDF officials are investigating why there was not enough time for the soldiers to a protected area.
Benjo's mother bid farewell to her daughter in a heartbreaking post on social media: "I can't believe the knock on the door reached me too."
Itamar Revivo, head of the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council eulogized her too: On my behalf and behalf of the council's employees and residents, I send a warm embrace and deepest condolences to the Benjo family on the fall of Omer. The funeral will take place tonight at 10:00 PM in the military section of the cemetery in Gea. May Omer's memory be blessed."
