The IDF has destroyed a Hamas tunnel located under an agriculture field in Khan Younis, the military said Friday.

The field, used for growing peppers, was discovered as part of the IDF's ongoing anti-terrorism operation in central Gaza.

"During searches, Israeli forces located in an agricultural field for growing peppers an offensive underground terrorist tunnel about 200 meters long, used by Hamas near the Hamad neighborhood," the military said.
Troops located weapons in the tunnel. In the vicinity of the shaft, the IDF also found grenades, RPG missiles, explosives, rocket launchers, vests and cameras.
Intense fighting in Khan Younis continues. Earlier on Friday, the military reported killing several terrorists with airstrikes, tank and sniper fire.
