A young man was injured this Thursday)in a stabbing attack near the major Yitzhar Junction in Samaria. According to the suspicion, the young man was driving along the Hawara route at the Yitzhar Junction when he saw a Palestinian asking for help. As he opened his window to assist, the Palestinian stabbed the young man in the chest. The injured man immediately drove to a nearby military outpost, from where he was evacuated to Beilinson Hospital for further treatment.
According to investigators, the attacker stabbed the young man through the vehicle window while he remained inside. Security forces have closed off all entrances to Hawara and are currently conducting a manhunt in the area for the perpetrator.
Israeli authorities have not yet identified the attacker but said the victim is a career officer in the IDF and that he sustained moderate wounds.
