In a dramatic operation, the IDF eliminated the Hamas military commander in Tulkarem, Azkhem Naafa, in a drone strike.

According to Palestinian sources, the commander of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades in the Nur Shams camp, Muhammad Abu Abdo, was also killed in the strike. Additional terrorists from these organizations were also eliminated.

Preliminary information suggests that a drone operating in the area targeted the terrorists. Currently, there are ongoing exchanges of fire between the forces and the terrorists.

Hamas and Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades commanders in the refugee camp often move together. Just a few weeks ago, they appeared in front of cameras after the elimination of another terrorist. "If one person is eliminated, a hundred will replace him (...) this occupier only understands the language of bayonets," Muhammad Abu Abdo said at the time.

Residents of Tulkarem report significant damage to the local market following the IDF attack.

The terrorist framework in the Nur Shams camp involves cooperation between different groups. The Palestinian Authority has expressed concern in recent months about what they described as an "Iranian outpost" near Tulkarem. As part of this, the PA's security mechanisms attempted to arrest the Islamic Jihad commander in the area but failed.
