Ceasefire to begin tomorrow morning

Agreement went into effect at 4 a.m. after an intense night of cross-border exchanges. In the final hours, the IDF launched a 120-second strike in Beirut and along the Syria-Lebanon border, while Hezbollah targeted border towns with missiles.

As the IDF continues to strike in Beirut, negotiations for a ceasefire intensify: The Lebanese Al-Jadeed reported that the US and France will announce an agreement between Israel and Lebanon tonight at 10:00 p.m., with the agreement taking effect tomorrow morning.

During the strikes, the IDF concluded a high-speed operation, attacking Hezbollah targets in Beirut within 120 seconds using eight fighter jets. The targets included seven financial management and storage facilities associated with Hezbollah, such as command centers, cash storage sites, and branches of the Al-Qard al-Hassan Association. This association is used by the terrorist organization to manage and store funds that bolsters its military capabilities.

This operation follows IDF strikes several weeks ago targeting Hezbollah's economic infrastructure, which significantly undermined the organization's military capacity. Since the war began, the number of targets struck in Dahiya has reached 330.

Israeli officials have emphasized that the primary test of the agreement will be the Lebanese army's dismantling of terror infrastructure in the area between the Litani River and the Israeli border. According to senior government sources, the IDF will define these tasks for the Lebanese army based on intelligence gathered in Israel. The gradual withdrawal of IDF forces will proceed only if Israel deems these tasks satisfactorily completed.

Ministers from the Religious Zionism party participating in the Cabinet meeting are expected to demand the inclusion of safeguards in the ceasefire agreement to ensure that Israel does not return to a policy of "quiet for quiet."
