Israeli Leader of the Opposition Yair Lapid delivered a speech Monday in the Knesset plenum, in which he hinted that the State of Israel is behind two shell companies established in Switzerland and the United States, "set up to organize and finance humanitarian aid to Gaza?"
His comments were made against the backdrop of the expanded operation to distribute humanitarian aid in Gaza, which launched Monday. As first reported by Israel Hayom, the IDF began piloting a supply distribution center for the Palestinian population in Gaza.

In addition, a New York Times investigation published Sunday revealed how a secret Israeli plan, initiated in December 2023, aims to shift the distribution of humanitarian aid in Gaza from the United Nations to private American contractors.
In response to Lapid's allegations, the Prime Minister's spokesman stated: "Israel is not funding humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip."
