A unidentified civilian aircraft crashed Saturday morning on Route 40 in the southern Israel, between the Shizafon and Tzihor junctions. Drivers traveling along the road spotted the unusual aircraft flying at a low altitude before it crashed onto the roadway. Several motorists immediately contacted the police emergency line to report the incident. IDF and police forces were dispatched to the scene.

Anat, who witnessed the aircraft flying toward her, told Israel Hayom: "I was driving on the road when I saw an aircraft coming straight at me, flying very low. At first, I thought it was a regular civilian plane, but as it came closer, I noticed it had a different shape. It looked more like a missile or an unmanned aerial vehicle, or a drone with a different structure. I pulled over and called the police. I saw it crash in my rearview mirror, further down the road. It didn't appear to hit any vehicles at that moment."
The IDF confirmed that the object was a civilian aircraft.
